Private Country House near Lake Geneva, Como and Williams Bay

Stretch your legs, relax and breath in the country air in this spacious luxury home. "House in the Woods" is located on 5 wooded acres between Lake Geneva, Como and Williams Bay. This home has undergone extensive remodeling and can be customized to suit your group. The house has a total of 12 bedrooms and 9 full bathrooms. Since not every group needs 12 bedrooms, we have adjustable rates depending on the number of bedrooms you need, with a minimum of eight. Please inquire for the discounted rate for fewer than 12 bedrooms. We don't believe in "dormitory" bedrooms or bunk beds, trying to squeeze too many "heads in beds". These bedrooms are huge, each has a flat screen TV, most have their own bathrooms and there is ample room to feel at home.
The upper floor offers 2 large bedrooms with 4 twin beds each, a full bath, fireplace and outside deck for each. The main floor has an open living room/dining room, furnished for your comfort with a large leather sectional. No detail has been spared and this is a great place for large groups to mingle without feeling crowded. Enjoy the massive 75 inch TV in the "tree house" -our vaulted 3 season porch. The chefs kitchen is fully stocked for 30 people with all the dishware, and cookware you will need to enjoy showing off your culinary skills. The dining tables can be extended and there are additional chairs for seating. The Four bedrooms on the main floor include the King suite with jetted tub and shower, fireplace and outside deck access. the King ADA accessible suite with large walk in shower and fireplace, a Queen bedroom and double Twin bedroom that share a full bathroom. The lower walk out level offers a second full kitchen, two King bedrooms with bathrooms, two kind bedrooms that share a bathroom and another King and Queen bedroom that share a bathroom. Our outside space is equally enjoyable with gas grill, custom block patio and fire pit, multiple decks and acres of privacy for your exploration. This property is the perfect venue for your wedding party, family reunion, golf outing or any reason for getting your friends together. The house is minutes from Lake Geneva, Lake Como, Williams Bay and Geneva National. After a full day of activities, you may not want to leave, but in case do, we also provide 4 dedicated free parking spots in downtown Lake Geneva for our guests, so you don't need to hassle with paying or finding convenient parking. The kitchen was great. We did not cook, but appreciated the multiple coffee pots and all the cups and glasses. This was a get together of adult siblings and spouses. The room sizes were great to accommodate all of us in one room.

This property is perfect for our family reunions.. There are 19 adults and a one and a half year old. These accommodations are great because it allows us to spread out and be able to get some rest time if we need it and also plenty of areas for us to play large group games. This was our fifth year of coming to this property and we all love it.

Family Vacation

Our family had so much fun at The House in the Woods! The large sunroom was a big hit for all of us, from the toddlers to the grandparents. We enjoyed cooking in the amazing kitchen and eating and playing games on the long dining room table. Our entire group had plenty of bedroom space and the beds were so comfortable. The outdoor fire pit was fun for sharing stories with little ones on our laps. Would highly recommended!

All in all it was good. Some of the kitchen chairs need some repairs. There were a couple of issues with the rain in the sunroom. The door to the deck on the left is not fitting correctly ,so rain came in on the floor there. Also there was water dripping from the ceiling on the left side just past the couch. The chandeliers in the kitchen need help with missing or burned out bulbs.

Lake Geneva Family Fun

We had plenty of room for all of us (17- 5) to sleep and move around. The kids enjoyed the large 3 seasons room. Large kitchen and long table for all of us to eat together. Close to downtown Lake Geneva, Lake Como, Williams Bay and Old World Wisconsin (30 minutes) Also saw deer, rabbits, wild turkeys and a raccoon from the windows. We all enjoyed our time there.

Golf outing and birthdays

A very quiet and spacious house for the dozen of us. It was clean and ready, with enough bedrooms for everyone. Easy access to the many golf courses, and comfortable space to gather after the rounds for dinner together.

This is a beautiful house and property, very close (maybe a mile or 2) from downtown Lake Geneva, lots of activities nearby. We had a party of 17 adults and 5 children under age 10, and we had plenty of space at the dining tables (they expanded to hold all of us) as well as in the living room. The bedrooms and bathrooms were as described in the listing, and many were in the lower level so away from the noise of the living room and kitchen. The outdoor areas were great for outdoor games (a nice patio as well as a nice flat area in the driveway) though you'll have to bring your own outdoor games. The hostess was very responsive. Definitely will consider coming back here.

Large house terrific for big group

Several families stayed at this well-appointed property as part of a family reunion. We were 11 adults and 10 kids (ages 5-16), and this home worked so perfectly! Playground nearby. Stocked kitchen worked well. Plenty of comfy, spacious bedrooms, but the real winner is the large living room and sunroom!

Girls weekend

We celebrated our 27th year chapter anniversary at The House in the Woods, and it was absolutely perfect! The location was fabulous—spacious enough for every member of the Chapter to have their own bed and personal space, yet cozy enough for us all to gather around the table and share meals together.We enjoyed arts and crafts, including decorating glasses and a fun sip and paint session. The space also allowed us to host fun challenges and a lively karaoke night.I truly loved this location and the overall experience. We’ll definitely be back again!

A WINNER!

This house is amazing! Beautifully decorated with many amenities, it provided much room for our entire family of 21. There were ample bedrooms and bathrooms for all! The three season room looked out on the lovely wooded setting. Three deer even payed us a visit while we were there. The house was also very clean and cared for. The communication with our host, Letisha, was excellent as well. We highly recommend this property especially for large groups.

Fabulous

We celebrated our extended family Christmas here and it was absolute perfection. The host went above and beyond by decorating the house for the holiday, making it feel like the perfect home away from home for our celebration. My hard-to-please family raved about the accommodations, especially the number of bedrooms and bathrooms. We are already planning another stay in the summer. 10/10 would recommend

Perfect for large families

This was the fourth year in a row that we have stayed at house in the woods. Each year I take my children and grandchildren and this year my first great grandchild a way to Wisconsin for a few days to really bond. This is a perfect place for a large group. We are a group of 20 adults and one infant and there is plenty of room for everyone to sleep comfortably and to be able to get privacy if they want it or otherwise to bond together with game playing and just playing conversations. I can’t think of a place I would rather stay.
