Great Family Getaway in a Quiet, Wooded Community

My family and I stayed at this home for a week in July and had a wonderful time. The house is spacious, comfortable, and well-suited for a group—our party of nine had plenty of room to cook, dine, and relax. The lower level feels like its own apartment, with a bedroom, full bath, wet bar, and games like ping pong, foosball, and darts. The home is located in a quiet, wooded area where we often spotted deer in the yard, and it was stocked with helpful extras like beach chairs and inflatable rafts. Parking was easy and ample.The property is part of a private HOA community with great amenities: restaurants, pools, a lake with a beach, and access to kayaks and paddleboards. The pools and lake are a short drive away (1–3.5 miles), with convenient parking. One important note: access to most amenities requires daily guest passes (10/person), which can add up quickly and wasn’t clearly stated in the listing. However, the restaurants and general store are open to the public, which was a plus for family members not using the amenities. We also enjoyed the HOA’s weekly events, especially music bingo and a fun “creature show” for the kids.The home is in a remote area—services like gas or groceries are 15–40 minutes away—but the surrounding nature is beautiful and perfect for hiking and exploring. The host was responsive and helpful throughout our stay.

Perfect family home

Loved this house and community, worked out perfectly for our group of 10. Everything was as described, spotless and lots of little extras and thoughtful touches and supplies throughout. Everything works, easy to manage. Good communication with the owner, checks in and responds right away. The community is very nice and easy to manage in regards to enjoying the amenities. The basement is a great hangout spot, all our teens loved having their own space. Thank you!!!

This house is as beautiful as the pictures with a perfect location for our ski trip. The host is an excellent communicator and we truly enjoyed this house. Thank you for allowing us to make great memories in your lovely home!!

Not as it was advertised

Prior to checking in the owner said the house was in excellent condition. Upon arrival we took notice of the scuffs and paint chips on the walls all around the house. There was a big box like drawing on the wall behind the TV, some of the screws holding the drywall in place had popped through and the microwave had an epoxy holding the handle on. There was food left in the refrigerator, freezer and cabinets and dirty dishes in the dishwasher. The 2 sliding glass doors going out to the decks had screens doors that were off the tracks and hard to open. The photos and the description on the site are misleading. Some of the beds were missing and furniture was not there like the pictures described or was changed. One of the deck railings out front was not screwed in place and one of us almost fell through it. In spite of all of that we rethought our sleeping arrangements and made it work and had a good time doing what we came to do and that was to relax and do some fishing. Some of these thing may seem petty but if they are claiming excellence you should know what we found.

beautiful home great location

We stayed for a long weekend in February. The house was beautiful. It was really clean. The beds were so comfortable, the house was big. A ton of room for the kids. It is in a great location- close to the mountain for skiing. The owner is great and super helpful. We highly recommend this house and will definitely be staying here in the future. This is our top rental pick in Masthope! Thanks again for sharing your home with us.
