'Z Cabin' provides breathtaking high bank views in all seasons and weather. 60 ft of private water front awaits you on the quiet section of Lake St. Clair where you can relax, boat, swim and fish.
This 1950's lake house has been updated inside and out without losing its vintage charm. Each room has ductless heating/AC while the house retains its working wood burning stove for those chilly PNW nights. But don't spend all day indoors! The lake awaits you year round with its misty mornings, calm waters and meandering coves worth exploring. Or just take in the views from the spacious deck.
Z Cabin is ready to host your next Pacific Northwest adventure.

Such a magical place! We felt as if we were stepping back in time at Palazzetto dei Nobili! The accommodations were very comfortable and we had everything we needed. It was just amazing to stay in such a lovely place and it is evident that the hosts care about the details. Perfect location as well. It was just perfect!

We really enjoyed our time at cabin Z. The lake was beautiful and calm. The cabin cozy and charming. Stephanie was patient and understanding when we needed her assistance. It was a great stay overall!

Waterfront oasis

Beautiful, warm, comfortable lake house.

We absolutely loved the lake house.The only feature that prospective guests might note is that there is only one bathroom. This didn't affect our stay at all, but it might be a drawback for some.

Cute cottage

This place is super cute. My only issue and reason for not giving 5 stars was the extremely strong smell of mold/wet smell particularly in the bedroom. Other than that it was nice for a lake visit.

Hidden Gem

Good location, driveway is a little tight for a large suv but no big deal. The house was clean and had plenty of cookware and utensils. Really enjoyed the outdoor deck, dock and lake. That is where we spent most of our time and I already want to go back. There are two kayaks, a peddle boat and a dock slide that the kids wouldn’t get off of. Highly recommend!

Clean, comfy, and perfect for our family trip

We had a lovely stay at Z Cabin. It was comfortable and had all we needed for our stay to visit with family in the area. I really appreciated that it was so well stocked with items we might need and the kids (and adults) had a blast in the water and when using the provided water craft. With the easy water access and the AC - we had a lovely time during the hot August days/nights.

We couldn’t have asked for a better place to have a small family gathering. The water activities were many and added a lot of enjoyment to our stay. The house was clean, comfortable and had everything you could want or need. The host was friendly, informative , accommodating and prompt in communicating. Don’t hesitate to book this lakeside house.

We really enjoyed our stay at Z Cabin! The house was clean and well stocked with everything we needed. The lake was a great place for paddle boarding, kayaking, and relaxing. Would definitely stay here again!

Quiet and lovely lake experience

This was the perfect place for our stay. The host was very kind and helpful. The home had everything we needed and was very comfortable. With two living areas and plenty of bedroom spaces, we had the option of being together to play board games, watch movies, or have some quiet alone time to read. The lake was easily accessible, and we enjoyed the use of the varied watercraft available to us. I really appreciated the thoughtful choice of cooking implements.(I loved the pans!) It was easy and fun to cook meals without having to make do with mediocre kitchen tools- something I have experienced in other rentals. My kids, pre-teen and teenagers made very positive comments about our stay here as well. Definite win!

Amazing Lake house

What an amazing house. Well stocked with everything you need to make your meals. The lake is secluded from the city but you could get to the grocery stores in 10 minutes. All interactions with Stefanie were quick and helpful. The lake is beautiful and quiet. I had some problems with my vehicle and the neighbours stepped up and helped me. I would stay here again and recommend it to everyone.

Beautiful experience!

Our little family of 5 absolutely loved Cabin Z! Stephanie made sure it was fully stocked with all kinds of kitchen appliances, bathroom items—from a waffle maker to makeup towels and even a bidet. My little one’s favorite part was being able to take the peddle boat and dinghy boat out on the lake. Even in this cold weather it was super fun. Everything seemed very updated within the cabin. There was also plenty of books and games/activities for all 3 of my kiddos—which made for a very smooth trip. Would love to come back here during the warmer months too. Thanks again Stephanie!
