Other things to know:

1. Additional guests: Our pricing is based on the number of people present per day. Any additional guest must pay a fee of $50 + tax/day, even if they do not stay overnight. Please inform us of their presence promptly, before their arrival. The property cannot accommodate more people than those confirmed in your reservation. We do not accept any reductions in the number of people within 7 days or less before your arrival. We can add guests, but not remove them.



2. Fireplace: Only ecological logs are permitted in the indoor wood fireplace. We provide 2 logs per stay as well as some fire starters.



3. Noise: Although we are located in the heart of the village, respecting the neighbours is our priority. We have a zero-tolerance policy regarding parties and excessive noise, both inside and outside the house. The city's noise curfew is set at 10 PM.



4. No pets: Pets are not allowed on the property.



5. No smoking: Our property is non-smoking (cigarettes and vaping).



6. Pool: The pool is generally open from mid-May to late September, depending on the night temperatures. We do not guarantee the pool will be open for all stays booked in May and September.



7. Fireworks/drones: Please do not use fireworks, firecrackers, or drones on the property.



8. Cameras/sound detector: Please note that the house is equipped with outdoor security cameras and a sound detector inside and outside to ensure the respect and tranquility of our neighbourhood.



9. Checkout: Please ensure the departure time and checkout instructions are fully respected. Additional fees apply for any incomplete tasks and a $75 fee if the departure time is not adhered to.



10. Responsibility: Please note that you are responsible for paying any additional cleaning fees if the property is not left in the same condition as upon arrival. You are also responsible for any damage or stains caused to the house, both inside and outside.



11. Photoshoot/filming/event: Please contact us to validate the feasibility of your project. We have different pricing and requirements for these types of bookings. It is strictly forbidden to take photos for commercial purposes without informing us in advance. Although our site is enchanting, we do not accept weddings or celebratory events.



12. Security deposit: A mandatory security deposit of $750 is required for all reservations. It is fully refundable upon departure, provided the property is left in perfect condition, as upon arrival.



13. RV/tent: Please note that it is not permitted to park RVs in the parking lot or on our grounds, even if no guests are sleeping in the vehicle. Tents are also not allowed on the property.



14. Stays during busy periods: For stays during the holiday season (December 20 to January 6), Quebec, Ontario, and U.S. spring break weeks, Easter, as well as summer stays (June 1 to September 30), we require a minimum of 4 people per reservation.



15. Freezer: We only have a very small freezer in the kitchen but have a large fridge.

Please note that all rooms, except the cinema room beds, are located upstairs and there is a staircase.

CHECKOUT INSTRUCTIONS

Upon departure, we kindly ask you to:

- Leave all your towels in front of the washer and start a first load of bath towels in the washer

- Place your dirty dishes in the dishwasher and make sure to turn it on

- Do not leave any dirty or clean dishes in the sink or on the counters, nor any kitchen items

- Empty all the garbage used in the house and take the trash out to the appropriate bins outside.

- Lock both doors and return the key to the key box.

The Knowlton House was perfect for our group of 8 adult family members. We were going to golf in the region. The house is very well equipped, the furniture is of good size for a group and the kitchen is spacious, with enough seating for 8-10 people at the dining table. Since we rented in October, the pool wasn't open. Parking was easy and spacious. Only drawback we would note is the fact that you only get the code to the lockbox at 4pm so if there is any hickup with the owner, you might be stranded. We like things to be a little earlier so that we can feel secure in our bookings. Overall we would highly recommend this property for a group of adults (mostly).

Relâche en famille

Une belle semaine de relâche à la maison de Knowlton. Magnifique maison, bien rénovée et adaptée pour un groupe avec des ados et des adultes. À moins de 20 minutes des montagnes et 35 min de Jay Peak. Magnifique cuisine pour de bonnes bouffes. Cuisinière au gaz un peu difficile à utiliser et départ un peu trop tôt. Chambres confortables et bien isolées. On recommande !
