I arrived and it looked like a Chinatown street market. People everywhere, cops whistling, cars blocking entrances, not a very 5 star feeling. It’s confusing with 2 buildings that both say the word face on it, making it difficult to know which one you’re even in, I waited 40 minutes to check in to only realize I was to check in on the other building called platinum suites. When I went there, they said check in was down and to come back in a few hours?? Never heard of that at any hotel let alone 5 stars.
When I was finally let into the room I paid for, it was a nice room although it just felt dated. There was an old school hot water switch that needed to be turned on. The shower even with hot water switch on, gave me hot water for all of 10 minutes max. If you have 2 people with you in the room, you need to shower at different times.
The breakfast buffet was fine, although nothing crazy. I was leaving for the day and forgot to fill my water bottle up so I went to fill it at the breakfast buffet (I paid for), and was denied saying that wasn’t allowed. This sort of nickel and diming is what I’d expect at your average Holiday Inn, not a 5 star suite.
I had a long day and wanted to hit the pool for just 20 minutes before it closed at 10 pm. Not an unreasonable thing to want to do. However to my complete surprise, I got in at 9:40 and not even 5 minutes later, a guard with his whistle started barking orders to everyone saying pools closed. Would recommend any other hotel
