Mountain Retreat Condo

Perfectly located in Grand County. This finished basement apartment has 2 bedrooms with one bath, complete with laundry. Daily living noise expected from upstairs. Apartment bedroom sleeping 4 in two twin bunks and a master with a King. Large open layout and amazing finish provide a great space to relax and gather. New kitchen with a great stock of necessities. Apartment has all the things you will need to rest and enjoy your time.

Modern basement condo apartment located in the heart of Kremmling. Updated and clean with perfect access to Grand Counties finest recreation. Large ceilings and open space provide the perfect retreat. Rafting, Biking, Hunting, Snowmobiling, Skiing, etc. We have it all just out the backdoor.

Nestled in the Rocky Mountain high country, Kremmling, Colorado embodies the spirit of the American West. It is characterized by the determination of the pioneer, and the kinship of community. The valleys around Kremmling were home to Ute indians, and the area was settled by silver miners in the late 1800s. Still today, much of the land is populated by working ranches.

Kremmling is the headwaters of the famed Colorado River, making rafting, kayaking and fishing main attractions in the summer months. The area's vast wilderness has made the town a destination for game hunters, snowmobilers and outdoor enthusiasts. Despite its small size, Kremmling businesses offer guests and residents alike a wealth of goods and services.

Walking distance to downtown to experience some great local dining. Condo is complete with a working portfolio of the area and amenities.

Coming in the COLD and need to plug your truck/trailer in, no problem we are set up. Lots of parking for tailers/trucks. Space in garage for gear. Space to use garage in summer months for BBQ and good views.

Very nice place. Exactly as advertised. Clean and cozy. Past reviews complained about noisy upstairs tenants but no problem with this visit. Hardly heard them come and go. Gave 5 Stars for location but keep in mind this is Kremmling, not Steamboat Springs. Very good communication with the property manager. Would stay here before a motel or hotel. Definitely recommend.

I booked this place to stay during the year end holidays as it had a kitchen and some decent reviews. I paid for the property in full for a 10 night stay starting Dec 27 and when I went there, the property had no bed with sheets. All the sheets were taken out and put in the laundry room and were dirty. All the dishes were dirty and in the sink. The host did not respond to my calls. Dawna mentioned that she was on vacation and had no one to take the calls. Eventually I contacted the host through VRBO and she refused to send someone to clean the place since it was too expensive to find someone during the holiday time. She asked us to get out of the property and promised that she will reimburse the money we have paid. Based on this, we vacated the property and paid again out of our pockets to stay for the vacation, staying in a hotel nearby. Since then it has been over a month and I am following up with the host on a regular basis but have not received the reimbursement as she has promised. VRBO has noted the concern and has been trying to reach her regarding the reimbursement but has given Dawna time to rectify the issue before they take action. Other things to note for potential renters: The place does not have any fire extinguisher, smoke/carbon monoxide detectors and there is no fire escape as small basement windows are fully covered in snow. The garage door will not stay open and can fall on top of your car if you try to drive in and keep your car from snow in winter.

This was overall a nice place to stay. Lots of room to spread out. The upstairs tenants were a bit loud. It took a while to figure out how to get in upon arrival. The instructions gave 2 different codes, a different code for each lock but the locks actually both used the same code. Dawna was great to work with. Overall a great place to stay and I’d definitely stay here again.

This basement level apartment was perfect for us! My brother, my son and I had ample space in the 2 bedroom living space. The kitchen was fully stocked with cookware so we could cook dinners each night. We appreciate that Dawna had cleaning supplies available for us to wash our dishes each night and take out the trash. Toiletries were available and even when there were only 2 rolls of toilet paper for the 7 days for us 3, I was able to message Dawna and she delivered us additional rolls the next day. Sound does carry down from the floor above (TV, music, video games, conversations) so we tried to be cognizant of this when we played our board games (unsure of if the sound carried up, as it did down). This may be important to consider for guests that may be loud or who want a secluded space. The check out process was easy, just as listed in the email instructions: strip the bedsheets, place them in the laundry hamper and take out the trash. Initial attempts on the first night to find the correct entry way were tricky. The north side (as described in the listing) has a doorway into the garage, rather than a car-garage door, but once we understood that “garage door” was describing a doorway, not an electric car garage door, we were able to gain entry. Also, on occasion we had to push the # button BEFORE AND after the code in order to gain entry. These are trivial, but for any other groups checking in during the cold, dead of night, hope this helps 😁 Dawna is GREAT about responding very quickly to questions and providing answers to help.

Just as nice as it looks in the pictures. Very clean and well-kept. We were here on a snowmobiling trip and had plenty of space to park with a trailer.

We had a great time and if we decide to come back we will definitely stay again. We were down for hunting so we were gone all day but it was worth its weight in gold to be able to come back and take a shower and get a great nights sleep!!

The place was clean and comfortable but there was not a dishwasher and the sink faucet was broken twice so we had to do all our dishes for two days the morning we were trying to leave early to ski. There were not any gloves for doing dishes by hand and if you have a lot of people staying, it's a lot of dishes. Also WIFI was super slow so we had to connect everything to my hotspot on my phone.

Great place to stay; we skied Steamboat from the place and it made for easy drives over and back for a lower price than staying in town and an easy drive in the first night from Denver. The kitchen could probably be updated with some newer pans/pots but everything is workable even if a bit old. Would consider staying again! Everything was easy. Thanks

The apartment was nice. Our issue is that on top of the upfront cleaning fee(which is more than enough for such a small place) Dawna charged us an additional 2 hrs of cleaning for what her cleaner said was an extremely dirty apartment... what??? we did the dishes, took out the trash, stripped the beds and put all the linens in the tub as her directions asked. We were out most of the weekend..had 2 meals there and slept... so there was no time to leave a dirty apartment. I messaged Dawna that Monday when I saw her charges.. she said the cleaner took pictures and she would check into it and get back to me. I messaged her again a day or so ago and I have not heard back. We have stayed in numerous vacation homes and have never had bad comments so i just don't understand.

The decor and amenities of this apartment are great. It is a basement apartment that has been finished nicely with cute furniture and natural wood trims. Guests enter the garage, descend 6-8 stairs to enter the apartment. The listing said a garage bay was included but except for the 1st nite and last nite of a 5 nite stay there was another vehicle parked in the space. This brings up one of the "issues." There seems to be zero noise abatement between levels, so if you happen to be staying there on a day or night the upstairs tenants are partying, you will be attending the party, too. It isn't just muffled sounds, its like being in the next room. To be fair, this didn't happen with frequency, but it's annoying when it does, especially if you are someone who values low-key quiet space or have young children. The second issue was the internet connectivity. There wasn't a cable or DSL connection, but rather a jet pack/Mifi to boost the cellular signal of your cell phone. The connection was very slow and we could not all use our devices at the same time. There was a game room listed but it is currently disassembled. There was also a washer and dryer listed as an amenity, but the Owner was waiting for the arrival of a part to complete installation. The owner was available, responsive, and eager to hear what she could do to make our stay pleasant. We were the 4th guests in this VRBO , having gone there to position ourselves between ski areas....Steamboat and Winter Park. The town of Kremmling itself has little to offer by way of entertainment.
