Extremely disappointing stay at Krabi Resort — definitely not returning.
We arrived at around 9:00 AM, fully understanding that official check-in is at 3:00 PM. However, despite rooms clearly being available, we were still forced to wait nearly 6 hours, which felt completely unreasonable for a resort that markets itself as a premium beachfront stay. The resort officially lists itself as a beachfront hotel in Ao Nang (krabiresort.net)
Honestly, it felt like guests were intentionally made to wait so they would spend money on overpriced island-hopping tours and other activities.
The staff were not welcoming at all — quite the opposite. They were unfriendly, rude, and lacked basic hospitality. No smile, no effort to assist, and definitely not the level of service you expect from a resort.
The room was another huge disappointment. The pillows smelled strongly of cigarette smoke, making it very uncomfortable to sleep. Cleanliness and room freshness should be a basic standard.
Another major issue was transportation within the property. Every time we needed to go somewhere, we had to call the front desk for a shuttle/cart, and the wait was often very long, leaving us standing outside in the hot Krabi weather.
What surprised us most was the lack of a proper welcome experience. No welcome drink, no cold towel, no refreshing gesture after a long trip — something many resorts in Thailand normally offer.
