We were evacuated because of a tsunami warning shortly after checking in. We were told to keep checking texts and information on the Marriott app, but we never received any information. I then called the hotel multiple times over the course of the next several hours, and nobody was answering the phone. My husband and I drove around for over an hour, in the rain, in the dark, and finally found a hotel with an available room,
For which we paid $420.00. The next day when we went back to the Sheraton we found out that other guests had been notified that it was safe to return to their rooms. We never got this information. It was extremely stressful. The Sheraton refused to refund us for the first night. I would like to request that Expedia do so. Thank you.
