"The room was extremely spacious and bed was comfortable. Luggage storage lockers and areas available for pre & post check in. Plenty of amenities available from the lobby, including tea/coffee machine. Short walk from the station. This hotel backs onto the train tracks and is next to a road so there was some traffic noise from this but didn't keep me awake or disturb me."

"The hotel is a located inside a converted house. Everything looks very traditional, complete with low ceilings, sliding doors, mat covered floors and futons. The dorm slept four, which I though was tight, but it seems to work well enough that I slept quite well both nights. "This is an authentic old-style ryokan with welcoming hosts who treat their guests like family. The building is very old and, being wooden construction, creaky and drafty, but also charming. The onsen was exceptionally clean and a wonderful first time experience for us. The breakfast was beautifully presented and delicious, with a variety of offerings we had never before encountered. "My family and I really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Kokusai 21. It's a nice and big hotel and the staff were all very kind. The rooms were spacious and clean. They also offer a breakfast buffet for a fee and it's really amazing. It's not easy to find a place to eat in the morning, so having a breakfast buffet in the hotel was really great and convenient. I definitely recommend staying here if you are in Nagano."

"The onsens are amazing and we did enjoy using them a lot during our stay. Especially the outdoor one provided a fantastic time, the peace and quiet of it makes you feel renewed extremely quickly. "It was a great place to stay. The room was clean and spacious by Japanese standards. The bed was very comfortable as were the pillows and the duvet.
