Kawama Yacht Club is situated along the southern border of John Pennekamp National Underwater Park. The grounds have over 30 lush tropically landscaped acres and it is the ONLY resort in Key Largo that has a Saltwater Lagoon, a 400' Fishing Jetty and a Private Ocean Front BEACH.

Beautiful, relaxing beach front community

Great apartment/condo with two screened-in porch/balcony facing the lagoon that runs along the interior of the community as well as front porch with grill. Community boasts 2 great pools, swimming/kayaking-ready lagoon with beach (and friendly fish), tennis/pickle court, ocean front beaches and the most wonderful walkable jetty. Paved and lighted walkway all the way around the lagoon for day or night strolls. Bikes, tennis racket, sand toys and other outside game equipment provided. Wonderful location: state park nearby where we rode glass-bottom boat and saw a shark, paddled/kayaked through the mangroves and saw manatees. Loads of great shopping and eating. Owner was quick to respond with requests. Fully stocked kitchen with everything you'd need. Highly recommend.

Great getaway

First fishing trip in 25 years for my son (55) and I.Place was all we expected.One note: It is not "ocean front". Nor even on a canal or bay. It is on a pond. Fun fishing first night. Then next morning, son noticed is posted for no fishing. That was disappointment.

Birthday in the Keys

Had a great time with a few friends celebrating my 70th birthday. The place was perfect for our needs, beds were great, place was clean, easy parking right by unit, easy to find and gain access to the community. Jorge was excellent with communication, always a quick response. Quiet safe community, neighbors were friendly and we loved having all the amenities right there. We loved being able to see the water right from our unit. It’s a great location the explore the Keys (we went to Islamorada and Marathon) and also to explore Everglades National Park. I would stay there agin without hesitation. Above and beyond: Jorge amazingly communicated with my daughter on a covert mission to help surprise me with gifts that she had shipped down to have waiting for me when I arrived. Jorge received the gifts and then drove the gifts from his home down to our unit and set everything up so the gifts were there when we arrived . Pretty awesome VRBO owner I would say!! Thank you again Jorge!!We had a great six days, I highly recommend this VRBO.

Jorge was the consummate host! We had requested additional items to enhance our stay, and he was agreeable without hesitation. The condo was in a great location and suited all our needs. We had a lovely stay!!

The property manager communicated very well, and the condo was well provisioned and comfortable. The Kawama gated community has multiple pools, the central lagoon, and a private beach area near the marina.

Loved this "Home Away From Home"

Exceeded expectations. We enjoyed our 3-day stay in this well kept, well stocked duplex. We had everything we needed and could truly relax. If we return to Key Largo (we’re from Colorado) we definitely would stay here again.

Short stay for a wedding nearby

Place was easy to find and nice that it was a gated community. Place had plenty of space. Very outdated but didn’t mind. Paint is chipping and vents could use a good clean. Beds were clean. Overall it was a good place to stay for what we needed.

Girls Trip

We couldnt be happier with out stay. The listing was completely accurate. The location is great right within walking distance of great restaurants. The lagoon is beautiful with lots of fish and iguanas to be seen. The grounds are beautiful. The owner is very friendly and more than accommodating. He even fixed bikes for us to use. We loved our stay and would love to ro come back very soon.

Cockroahes and Host doesnt care! Dont stay here!

We got to the property took our stuff inside and when we washed our hands thats when when found the cockroaches and other bugs. We grab our stuff and didnt leave property until we got the ok from VRBO. We didnt stay and niether VRBO or the Host will refund our money. This is unacceptable!

Wonderful stay at Key Largo!

Jorge’s property was perfect for our three day stay at Key Largo. Very comfortable and relaxing. There were 15 stairs to the upstairs bedrooms which may cause a problem with someone with physical disabilities. We also enjoyed the walk around the Lagoon and to the jetty. At night it was fun to watch all the lobsters and fish when we flashed a flashlight into the Lagoon. We would definitely recommend staying at this cozy VRBO!
