We were told that our card had declined for the $25 of a hold that would return the morning of check out. It had come as a surprise when we had been informed the card had showed declined. We had original thought since we were coming from out of state to this location, it might’ve been our bank that blocked the transaction. So not know what to do we offered $25 in cash which the front desk associate did accept. After calling our bank from our room, it came to light the transaction had actually gone through, we immediately went back to the check in office to get our money back. The same associate was still there and seemed a bit shocked we were back so soon. When we informed her of what we learned from the call to the bank, she quickly requested her manager to come to the office. They informed us that she was confused and should’ve had accepted the cash, which we then asked the first associate for back to which she asked her manager for permission to do so. We were able to obtain our money back and kept on an eye on our bank statements to see when the $25 came back. I would be very diligent about what is being asked for during check in because a cash hold is suppose to be $100 and credit card is $25.
