The Sawtooth Range is a stunning portion of Idaho’s Rocky Mountains with 57 peaks and 400 alpine lakes to explore.The Sawtooth Wilderness offers over 700 miles of hiking trails, with opportunities for camping, hiking, snowmobiling, SxS riding, boating, biking, trail running, and wildlife watching. We’ve searched high and low for the best hikes in the Sawtooth Mountains, and we’ve found the best trails for the ideal Sawtooth experience.

Perfect mountain sanctuary

Nate’s cabin is truly a gem in an idyllic location. My three generation family stayed for two nights and found a well-appointed, cozy cabin with mountain views from every window. My only regret is not staying longer.

Perfect Location/Great Views

We loved our stay at the cozy cabin and would absolutely stay there again. It was the perfect location for the hikes we wanted to do in the Sawtooth Mountains. We enjoyed happy hour every evening on the deck taking in the beautiful views. The beds were comfortable, and the house was well-supplied. Note that while the house can comfortably sleep ten, the living space would be very tight if all ten of those people were awake.

We had a fantastic time. This little town is a piece of paradise. We loved the house. The deck has amazing views. We are every dinner looking out at the mountains. This house was fully stocked with everything you could think of. Thanks for letting us enjoy your home.

Cabin was beyond fabulous! So many touches that made us feel welcomed. Beds were extremely comfortable, and the views from the deck were spectacular. Walked down for breakfast at Smiley Creek Lodge. Hope to return one day!!

Perfect for our needs

Clean easy to access With awesome views of the mountains with creek below. My only concern was the bunk queen’s with very little clearance on bottom bunk but we had a family back out so thankfully no one had to pull the short straw and have to use this room

Ideal Sawtooth getaway

Everyone in my group agrees this is the best rental we have stayed at. Nate and his wife have done an exceptional job anticipating the needs of guests. The kitchen is well supplied and organized. The bedding is very comfortable. Each room is equipped with a noise machine and fan. There are ample high quality linens. Nate has provided an entire closet full of extra toiletries. The laundry room is very nice and well organized. The decor is nice and cabin cozy. The views from the patio are exceptional. Overall a great stay. Kudos to Nate for a job well done.

What a wonderful cabin in the beautiful Sawtooth Mountains! This cabin was one of the best equipped homes I have stayed at via VRBO. Lots of nice touches and supplies provided. The beds are all very comfortable, and nice linens and towels provided.The cabin has three floors. You enter the main floor via a enclosed breezeway, with the living/dining room, kitchen, laundry room, and half bath all on this floor, along with a door out to an open deck with absolutely the most amazing views of the Sawtooth Mtns.The upper floor has a loft/alcove space off the stairway up where the full size bunk bed is located. There is a full bath at the top of the stairs, and a large bedroom with a king size bed and a futon couch located in it.The lower floor has a room that I would call a family room which has another king size bed in it, along with a futon couch in an area that has curtains to give it some privacy, along with a door out to a covered deck (right below the main floor deck). There is also a separate bedroom with a door that has a full size bed located in it. There is a 3/4 bathroom on this floor that has access doors from the bedroom, and the "family" room with beds. There was a nice gas grill on the deck for BBQs, and parking for four cars out in front of the cabin. This place would be perfect for a couple of couples, along with some kids, since a two of the sleeping areas do not offer total privacy.

Absolutely fantastic place to stay.

Our family had a wonderful time staying at Smiley Creek Cabin. It is absolutely a fantastic cabin. Nate was very responsive. The cabin was wonderful. The arcade machine was a big hit. Would definitely stay here again.
