"The staff are amazing all friendly, cheery and helpful. The hotel has a nice homely feel to it, with a mix of modern and traditional styles. The grounds are immaculate and the rooms are clean and spacious. As for the food it is delicious and very reasonably priced. Will definitely return."

"Didn’t have food as such had a dry tuna mayo sandwich with a tiny little amount of crisps for the princely sum of £9 , But I will say that one of the staff went over and above to help me during the night when I came down with a burst appendix she stayed all night until paramedics came at 5 am and took me to hospital in Glasgow well done to her "

"We book the cabins frequently, every 6 months, 4 of us. The cabins now seem to be getting a bit tired looking. Needing a spruce up, some painting, maintenance. In our cabin this time there was a small oil heater as the fire was broken. We reported it so that maybe the next booking could have a nice fire. The coffee machine was also broke and we reported this as well. When we took the “plastic” glasses from the cupboard one had lipstick marks on it. We reported this too and asked for glass wine...

"A lovely light, double aspect, clean, quiet, spacious room and bathroom. Bedding and towels good quality. Even a stand alone heater for extra warmth was much appreciated. Dining room staff efficient, my evening meal was a pleasant experience, but didn't take breakfast. A warm welcome from reception staff member."

Great having the fridge in the room with fresh milk for tea and coffee. Beautiful selection for breakfast. The host Keith was absolutely lovely and went above and beyond during our stay. We would stay here again without hesitation."
