Dear guests,
we will be happy to welcome you in our house "Melina Merkouri 17", a family-owned villa converted for vacation rental. The 100 square meter "Penthouse Olivanda" with its approx. 200 square meter breathtaking terrace invites you to a relaxing vacation. The hillside location of the house allows you to get to the penthouse apartment in just a few steps. Through the spacious entrance area you enter directly into the modern living and dining room, connected to the fully equipped kitchen. These rooms and the master bedroom have direct access to the sun-drenched terrace, which will impress you with the wide view of the Bay of Palio and the neighboring towns. The two modern bedrooms offer space for 4 guests and one baby bed each. In the living room there is a comfortable sofa bed for one more person (additional charges 40,00 €/night). The penthouse has two air conditioning units and offers free WiFi. TV, DVD, stereo and a dishwasher complete the very good, sophisticated equipment of the penthouse. There is a washing machine in the 1-st floor of the house. You can use it anytime. For our little guests we are happy to provide cots and playpen, high chairs, children's dishes and toys.

If you love to look at the glittering sea after getting up or to enjoy the sunset with a glass of wine in the evening, you have arrived here in paradise. The built-in fireplace / grill on the terrace is ideal for your Mediterranean barbecues. All around a vacation home that convinces with its location, facilities and spaciousness!

Through the Mediterranean garden with its old tall palm trees, orange, lemon and olive trees you can reach the child-friendly sandy beach in just 2 minutes. The gently sloping sea allows young swimmers to play with the waves, while the adults enjoy sunbathing and the sea breeze.

If you want to spend the best time of the year with your dearest friends or relatives, we also offer apartments on the lower floor of the house with top equipment, large veranda with sea view (Apartment Olivanda).

The house is surrounded by a 2,500 square meter Mediterranean garden. Depending on the season, you can pick oranges for your breakfast juice, the tangerines for your muesli or the limes for your cocktail directly from the trees. You can safely park your car on the property in front of the house, unload suitcases and purchases directly.

Warmth and hospitality will accompany you through your vacation. Your well-being and relaxation are our concern and goal.

Weekend work break with friends and collagues

Such a wonderful and relaxing weekend. The property is just beautiful and the views were such a treat. We have been working away so long and really made the most of the BBQ and outdoor seating areas. It was so lovely having the space to do our morning yoga together too. The communication was quick easy and kind. Thankyou for having us we would 100% recommend stopping by for a few nights

Amazing holiday location !

Amazing property with to die for views. Beach is a short stroll away through the garden. We had ideas of exploring other beaches, but honestly the one near the property was perfect. Didn’t bother with any others for the entire stay. (Bring snorkels, lots of fish for the kids) Great coffee and bakery place 2 minute drive down the hill. Kavala itself is a 10 minute bus ride away. Leave the car at home, gets pretty busy at night. Our host Kalliopi was super lovely and very responsive to any questions. Highly recommend this stay.

Einfach traumhaft

Wir waren für ganze drei Wochen in dem wunderschönen Penthouse. Wir haben uns sofort verliebt und wären am liebsten dauerhaft eingezogen. Die Veranda und der Blick aufs Meer in dieser schönen kleinen Bucht ist einfach atemberaubend. Es gibt unglaublich viele Sitzmöglichkeiten und wunderschöne Pflanzen auf der Veranda die das Gesamtbild abrunden. Kalliopi hat die Wohnung sehr geschmack- und liebevoll eingerichtet. Außerdem ist Sie eine wunderbare Gastgeberin und kümmert sich ganz liebevoll und fürsorglich um alles. Sie war für alle Fragen und Belange sofort parat. Die zauberhaft Putzfee Rula ist auch einfach wunderbar. Super nett und sehr hilfsbereit. Hier wird Gastfreundschaft gelebt und geliebt ! Die Lage ist einfach Spitze. Der Strand ist nicht überlaufen und für Kinder wirklich gut geeignet. Es gibt keine Liegen zum Mieten, was wir persönlich sehr schön fanden. In der Wohnung gab sogar einen Sonnenschirm, Matten, Strandtücher etc. Es bleiben wirklich keine Wünsche offen. Mit einem Mietauto kann man die Gegend gut erkunden und auch die anderen Strände besuchen. Das sorgt für Abwechslung. Sehr empfehlenswert ist auch die alte Wasserstraße von palia Kavala. Da gibt es einen Umweltpfad mit einem Wasserfall. Traumhaft schön dieser verwunschene Ort (Zauberwald). Hier lässt es sich auch bei sehr heißen Temperaturen gut aushalten. Es gibt mehrere Wasserläufe. Der Pfad ist schmal und geht immer wieder auf und ab. Für Kinder und Erwachsene ein echtes Abendteuer. Kavalas Altstadt ist auch wunderschön und ein Spaziergang am Nachmittag Abend zur Burgruine (Schloss) ist sehr schön. Man muss allerdings gut zu Fuß sein, da es steil bergauf geht. Wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt und hoffen irgendwann mal wieder Poppys Gäste sein zu dürfen.

Top Penthouse in Traumlage!

Wir waren als Familie (2 Erwachsene, 2 Kinder 11 und 14 Jahre) im Juli für zwei Wochen im sehr schönen Penthouse von Kalliopi zu Gast. Die Penthousewohnung ist klasse ausgestattet und bietet alles, was für einen erholsamen Urlaub nötig ist. Absolutes Highlight ist die riesige umlaufende Terrasse, die einen phantastischen Blick über die Bucht von Palio ermöglicht und zahlreiche Sitz- und Liegemöglichkeiten bietet. Hier kann man bis tief in die Nacht sitzen und den Tag ausklingen lassen. Sehr gut, aber angesichts der exponierten Lage auch notwendig, fanden wir die Klimatisierungsmöglichkeiten im Elternschlaf- und Wohnzimmer sowie die Fliegengitter, die an allen Fenstern und Terrassentüren angebracht sind. Einer der zahlreichen schönen Strände der Umgebung befindet sich unmittelbar zu Füßen des Appartements und ist in 2 Minuten durch den Garten zu erreichen. Besonders empfehlenswert fanden wir zudem die Bucht von Battis (5 Minuten mit dem Auto) sowie die Dünenstrände von Ammolofoi ( 20 Minuten mit dem Auto). Eine tolle Taverne mit sehr gutem Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist 500 Meter vom Penthouse entfernt, zwei kleine Supermärkte sind ebenfalls im Ort zu finden + Bäckerei und alles, was man sonst für den Alltag braucht. Kavala ist mit dem Auto in 10 Minuten zu erreichen (ebenso mit dem Bus, Haltestelle vor Ort). Kavala ist eine lebendige wunderschön gelegene Hafenstadt mit regem Nachtleben und mehreren Sehenswürdigkeiten. Kalliopi und ihre Familie waren tolle und hilfsbereite Gastgeber und haben uns, nachdem wir fast eine Woche ohne unsere Koffer auskommen mussten, tatkräftig geholfen. Auch ansonsten war die Kommunikation schnell und problemlos! Eine Reise in diese in Deutschland eher unbekannte Region Griechenlands können wir nur absolut empfehlen!

Ένα πολύ ωραίο σπίτι σε μια πολύ ωραία τοποθεσία!

Φτάνοντας στο παλιό (Καβάλας) βρήκαμε ακριβώς αυτό που περιγράφεται στην καταχώρηση. Καθαρό, άνετο με πανέμορφη θέα από την βεράντα του. Απολαύσαμε και την ωραία παραλία στα 100 μέτρα κάτω από το σπίτι. Η διαμονή μας ήταν πολύ ευχάριστη, και ευχαριστούμε την εξυπηρετικότατη οικοδέσποινα!+

Atemberaubender Blick zum Entspannen

Das Penthouse liegt am Hang und bietet einen atemberaubenden Blick auf die naheliegende Bucht. Zum Strand sind es ungefähr 5 Minuten zu Fuß. Für Kinder (unsere sind 7 und 9) ist die Bucht ideal, da dort das Wasser lange Zeit sehr flach ist. Das Frühstück auf der überdachten Terrasse mit Blick aufs Meer war jeden Morgen ein Highlight. Das Penthouse ist sehr gut ausgestattet, es ist wirklich alles vorhanden. Von der kompletten Küchenausstattung, über ausreichend Handtücher, Strandmatten inkl. Schirm bis hin zu Strandspielzeug für die Kleinen. Die Klimaanlagen im Wohnbereich und im Elternschlafzimmer sind bei hohen Außentemperaturen sehr angenehm. Ca. 500m die Straße runter ist ein kleiner Einkaufsladen, bei dem man für den ersten Tag ein paar Kleinigkeiten bekommt. Mit einem Leihwagen kann man aber auch im Nachbarort zu einem LIDL fahren, was auf jeden Fall zu empfehlen ist. Den Leihwagen hatten wir Online über Car4Rent gebucht und damit sehr positive Erfahrungen gemacht. Ob Kavala, Keramoti (inkl. Fährüberfahrt nach Tassos) oder Filipi - in der näheren Umgebung gibt es genug zu sehen, sodass der Urlaub nie langweilig wird. Wir kommen gerne wieder und freuen uns jetzt schon auf unseren nächsten Aufenthalt!

Supertolles Appartement mit wunderschönem Meerblick und riesiger Terrasse!

Das Penthouse ist mit viel Liebe eingerichtet! Es ist toll ausgestattet, es fehlt nichts (sogar Handtücher und Strandtücher/Strandmatten, Sonnenschirme für den Strand sind vorhanden). Besonders die riesige Terrasse mit dem Grill hat für schöne Stunden gesorgt. Die Vermieterin ist sehr unkompliziert und supernett! Wir haben uns wie zu Hause gefühlt und werden ganz sicher wiederkommen!!! Einfach toll!

Romantische Sonnenuntergänge

Sehr schöne und sehr große Terasse mit Panoramablick auf die Bucht. Auch die Wohnung ist gemütlich und modern eingerichtet. Ich und meine Familie haben die Zeit in Penthouse genossen. Zum Strand sind nur 2 min zu Fuß und die Gastgeberin ist sehr freundlich und kümmert sich um alles. Immer wieder gerne )))

Beatiful place near Kavala

We had a beautiful stay in this apartment. It is very cosy and clean with a big terrace facing the sea. The kitchen is fully equipped. You can find many taverns nearby or you can have a barbeque on the terrace enjoying the night scenary! Amazing. The beach is just 2 min walk, unfortunately is not organized so you need your own umbrella and sunbed. I didn't expect so many beautiful sand beaches around like: nea Iraklisa, nea Peramos and Ammolofoi. Kalliopi, the owner is very nice and together with her son had done everything to support us. We had a great vacation, hope to come back!

Une terrasse gigantesque avec une vue incroyable !

Tout est parfait dans cet appartement ; les volumes, la propreté, la décoration, la beauté des meubles ! La cuisine spacieuse est très bien équipée. Mais le top du top c'est la grande terrasse avec son mobilier et la vue époustouflante sur la mer ; on ne s'en lasse pas. Vous pouvez réserver cet appartement, vous ne serez pas déçus. Et les propriétaires sont des gens charmants.
