One of a Kind-Get Away/Big Cypress Bayou Near Jefferson&Caddo

One of a kind retreat for small families, a romantic get away for two, or fishing/hunting lodge.

This property is built over Big Cypress Bayou river which is 3.3 miles from CADDO Lake, 10 minutes from Historic Jefferson, 20 minutes from old money oil town of Marshall, AND 30 minutes from the wide awake Casino town of Shreveport, LA.

The River House is on a private road which lends to peace and tranquility. Great access to the river for amazing water skiing, jet skiing, and boating awaits. If you're not into water sports, fish all day right off the covered deck. If you have a boat, there is a ramp within 100 yards of the house, and lots of great little fishing holes along the river and back into the cypress forest.

The River House has an outdoor grill. A bonfire is always fun in the cooler months, so sit back relax and enjoy the blaze in the fire pit steps from the house.

The River house is within 10 miles by boat or car to 8,000 acres of public hunting land: deer, squirrel, hog, duck, turkey, and alligator to name a few. You must have a TX hunting license and Type 2 permit. Also, be prepared to follow all TX game and wildlife laws for Marion and Harrison County.

We promise you will not be disappointed with the discovery of this off the beaten path cabin of solitude and good times!

Cozy comfort

Very nice. Loved the carport (it kept us dry when loading up), the covered back patio with fishing pole stands, and the overall interior decor. The bed was very comfy. Being that this was Memorial day weekend, the boat traffic was heavy and loud, but inside it was noticibly quieter. The only drawbacks were having only one light in the bedroom and no nightstands. Having a side lamp next to the couch would be nice for reading.

Kayaking hikes

This place was perfect for our little kayakung trip. The trail through, and to, Clear Lake was definitely our favorite. The location was perfect and the property as advertised. Caddo Lake State Park was close by, just a short drive away.

A trip in time

Staying on the bayou was the best thing we have ever done. This cabin is exactly how the pictures depict it to be. Very relaxing, clean and quiet. Thank you for allowing us to experience this wonderful place!

Simply wonderful

Weekend getaway for our anniversary. Randy is an awesome host and answered all my questions quickly. Coach is a treasure! Made sure we had what we needed. The kayak was a blast! We will definitely book another stay there!

This fishing cabin is perfect!

Holy cow! This place is unreal! My husband had fishing polls in the water before we had the car unpacked, and they were the last thing to get packed when we left! Pictures just don't do it justice! The house is pretty standard, but it was perfect for us. The check in process was so smooth, and Coach was wonderful! We will be back for sure!was wonderful! He

We had the most fun and relaxing stay than any other vacation rental we have stayed. A wonderful host always available if you need him. Great Spot

We brought our two grandsons to this unique and wonderful property. They had so much fun kayaking and fishing off the porch. Although with the rain, we didn’t catch any fish, we still explored the hidden lake and other places up the river. The cabin was clean and the perfect size for our needs. Coach was awesome and so very friendly and helpful. We’ll be back to visit this place again!

This property is very well looked after. The house is beautiful,there was allot of thought put into getting this place put together. Lots of personality, spacious, very comfortable, and feels like home as soon as you walk in. Super Hosts and Awesome Get Away Retreat!

At the last minute we were unable to make our trip. After communication with host, who btw is really quick to answer and was very willing to work with us, it was agreed our granddaughter would go in our place. She loved the place, loved the peacefullness and though alone said she didn't feel concerned in any way. The host and Coach were there doing some repairs when she arrived and gave her a tour and acquainted her with everything. She couldn't say enough nice things about it all. I look forward to being able to get there eventually!! Thank you Browns for sharing your little slice of paradise!

Spring Break Get-a-Way

Loved the interior finish out & decor of this fishing cabin as well as the upper deck that looks out over the bayou!! The deck was 10-15 ft over the bayou with great views and fishing access. Having rented the 2-seat kayak was a huge success with my 5 & 7 y/o grandkids!!! That was their favorite activity followed by their constant bike riding on the dirt road!! We used the fire pit several times but glad we brought our own wood, as the host charges for firewood. At the fire pit there are only aluminum frame chairs without cushions, so glad we brought our own chairs. King size bed was soft but comfortable. In the 2nd bedroom, our 5 & 7 y/o grandkids used the futon cushions to make a fort and slept on the floor. Coach was there to greet us upon arrival and was very helpful & available.

Relaxing trip

Everything was wonderful.the place in its self was so relaxing and quiet.it was clean.Coach was amazing.checked on us which was nice to see if we needed anything and we loved listening to his story's.small world that he coached around our area.would love to go back sometime again.

Big cypress bayou

Good nice cabin. Loved the view of the water but deck area and boat house is in need of major repair. Had a flood earlier this year (7 months ago) and stairs leading to boat dock fell down or collapsed while trying to go up them. Couldn’t use boat dock after 1st day there. No other way to get to boathouse so I had to launch boat daily. Cabin needs leveled badly but the cabin is very nice! Thanks
