"Sweet little hotel and good staff. The breakfast could be picked up a little bit, I found that many of the dishes were cold when they should’ve been warm and the pastries were not up to standards. Yeah, beer was about $24 when asked for two small beers. Good thing no there’s a grocery store right across the street. Lots of great restaurants around, but don’t eat at the Lebanese one that’s close to the hotel, we sent two dishes back."

"The room was excellamt quality, spacious and very clean. Breakfast was very good with cooked options of local and European food as well as a good selection of buffet options. Friendly and helpful staff. Only downside is that it is slightly outside georgetown but this is not a criticism of hotel. Excellent pool and gym. Great hotel"

"Lovely hotel, great location around an hour's drive from the airport, 30 mins by car from Georgetown, and around 10 minutes' walk to local shops and restaurants.
Great grounds, facilities in the Rasa Wing are fab - adults only pool is fab, and the complementary afternoon tea and cocktail hour are well worth it!
Rooms are lovely and well-equipped, management of the sunbeds means it's always possible to find some to settle in on, and staff are always happy to help you with anything you need.

"Firstly, if you get a room that is not facing the pool beware where it faces. There is a mosque beside the hotel and they do have prayer calls 5 times a day, including 1 before bedtime and another at 6am. For those not used to it, it can be very jarring. Food is mediocre and expected for the price paid. Facilities are worn... I mean pretty old at this point. Overall we made do with what we had and my kid still enjoyed our little vacation. This place is due for a refresh but meanwhile, I wish...

"This is a 4.5-5 star hotel. Room is very nice but pool was out of commission for two days and no sign. Very murky water and no urgency to fix it. Other issue is the lack of warm water for a shower. I would think easy to fix ... management?"

"Hard Rock Penang was lovely, from check in, to our whole trip the staff were amazing and very welcoming. The hotel was clean and amenities were good. The breakfast was amazing, really tasty and great choice. You can also get to Ferringhi Bay from the beach which saves so much time. Great location and great stay. "

the shaving mirror was hanging off the wall which make it hard to use.

"Got a room that was supposed to have sea view but we only got the horizon part as the lower view was obscured by another block (but only 2 storey).
Apart from the above, Lone Pine is a superb resort for those who love basking under the shades of tropical trees and pines too, has well maintained and clean facilities, enjoying the serenity of Batu Ferringhi. Food (breakfast) and drinks were very good too. The play room has large TV screen and we actually stayed up till 1am to watch Champions'...

"Breakfast was amazing lots to choose from. Omelette and pancake stations. Dim sum. We stayed for 6 nights and had something different everyday.
Staff were very attentive.
Couldn't swim in the sea as there were lots of jellyfish. But the hotel beach was beautiful, definitely worth seeing the sunsets.."
