"Beautiful property and unique experience staying in the castle. The staff were very friendly and welcoming - they looked after us very well. Beware some of the castle rooms require you to go up a spiral staircase which is a bit of a climb with a suitcase. The staff very helpful and will help with luggage tho. Evening meal was adequate only as there was limited options which interested us. However breakfast was amazing cooked to order and great variety to suit all diets. Do go on...

"My stay at Lanehead old school was fantastic. The owners Lisa and Chris were lovely and extremely helpful. My car broke down on the way there and they offered to pick me up. They then offered to pick me up from the garage I had my car towed to. Excellent hosts. It was like staying with old friends! I can't recommend the place highly enough!"

"The Hotel is a treat for the eyes and a great place to relax in the many rooms. A beautiful bar and a great breakfast kept us satisfied after a day of exploring the area. A super comfortable bed made our stay even better. The golf course looks beautiful and the hiking trails are interesting. Easy to park your car. The staff were helpful and very polite. "Accurately advertised. You can literally see a mile castle on Hadrian’s Wall from your room. Beautiful country views. A problem with our heat was addressed immediately. Excellent dinner choices and service in the cozy pub. "

Absolutely nothing we did not like apart from leaving. A first visit which I really hope will not be our last. Great work by the team here."

"Room was fine, tea and coffee wasn't very nice and no complementary biscuits. No magnifying mirror in the bathroom. States Brompton however 8 miles away. Bed was really uncomfortable. Evening meal was nice, 10% surcharge on you bill! Wine expenses! Breakfast was so so. Waited a long time for someone to come to the checkin fest on arrival and departure. Probably would try an alternative hotel "
