I really liked the hot tub! Other than that, it was just like most other budget hotels that I have been to in Korea. The room was clean but some of the walls looked old. Air conditioning which can be controlled via remote worked great.
Also, you are welcome to grab a couple of non-alcoholic drinks available on the first floor (in addition to those found in the room.) They also offer sliced white bread and jam (I didn’t have them as I can’t have those kinds of carbs.) The gentleman at the front desk was friendly.
The hotel has a noraebang, pool table and massage chairs on the basement floor but it seems that area is no longer in use. Took a peek—it was very musty and lights were off.
Location wise—not really close to any major attractions except for a rail bike (which I didn’t try). There is a convenience store on the next corner. There are also lots of restaurants nearby but many of them are drinking establishments too. There is a large reservoir not too far away and lots of people take a walk there at. There is a library right there that looks out to the reservoir (I was in the area in the evening so I couldn’t visit the library.).
I mixed up this hotel with a different hotel that had “Mari” in the name. My intention was to visit the other hotel which was near the hanok village. In any case, I made the best out of it and enjoyed the hot tub twice during my 1 night stay.
