We loved the home, every room was perfect for our gathering. Especially the kitchen and porches, screened and unscreened. Great views, very private and all loved their spacious rooms and bathrooms.

Luxury Treehouse Living

This was our second visit to “Better Together.” We loved it the first time which is why we returned. It was gorgeous this time of year and it felt like we were living in a treehouse. The home has everything you could possibly need. We really enjoyed the screened patio area. There were lots of bugs, crickets, spiders, some inside and many outside, but that is just part of living in the woods and to be expected during the summer. We enjoyed the card games, hammock, and ping pong. It was the relaxing, enjoyable vacation we were looking forward to.

Instructions on checking in need to be updated. The door lock wasn’t functioning as batteries were dead and needed to be replaced. They responded with 30-45 minutes of calling.

Wonderful Stay

The cabin was very roomy and well laid out. Enjoyed all of the porches and the well stocked kitchen. Looking forward to staying at this property again.

The house was very good, but the house cleaning was not good. The house cleaning was not good.

The house was great, but the house cleaning was bad. The master toilet was not working properly, kept running unless manually holding it down and pushing it back up, and had feces still on it, and had hair in sheets in one of bedroom's downstairs. Was not pleased with cleaning on moving in.

Nice and spacious cabin.

The cabin had lots of room and was very nice. We were disappointed that it was too cold to use the porches and decks. We will try to stay here when we come back in the fall.

Relaxing

Loved the Better Together cabin. Huge, well stocked and meticulously clean. Loved all the doggie perks like toys, extra beds and bowls. But, I was not expecting not a blade of grass for the fur baby to sniff and do business. The fenced in run was at the end of a very large outdoor staircase not easy to navigate if your dog is elderly and not good with stairs. My dog isn’t use to doing her business unless she has grass. I also wasn’t expecting there was no place to walk around for a leisurely stroll, The houses are all built high into the woods, no yards, and the streets are extremely winding, narrow, with drops on either side . I would NEVER drive at night. I was nervous driving those long winding cliff like roads during the day. Definitely not a place for those who are elderly like me and my friends or those with a fear of heights! But the house was lovely and we had a great time . Nothing is open on Monday and Tuesday. Keep in mind as well!

Beautiful stay at Big Canoe

The home was absolutely lovely and well-kept. The location in the woods was absolutely beautiful. The community is wonderful with a golf course and miles of trails to hike with waterfalls and streams. The gated community adds to the overall field. The property takes a bit of time to get into an out of as a result of the beautiful twisty roads and the fact that it is nestled deep in the woods. That said, it was a reasonably short drive to Atlanta motorsports Park, which is why we were in the area. Highly recommend the community and this property.

Mountain Getaway

"Better Together" in Big Canoe is a wonderful place to relax. It has everything you need in a beautiful setting. The beds were very comfortable! They even have dog toys & treats for your dogs!!

Christmas get away

We have stayed in Big Canoe a few times and LOVE the community!!! As for the house, it was perfect! Furniture and beds were very comfortable and house was more than enough to accommodate Myself, wife, son (teenager) and my wifes mom and dad. The kitchen had everything and anything you could need. The home was very nicely decorated and felt like a home away from home!

Mountain Retreat

We decided to come up for a week and get out of the heat and traffic in FL. We usually go to NC, but didn’t want that long a drive for this trip. We were very pleased with Big Canoe and would definitely return. The home was very nice and clean and had everything we needed.

Great place!!

This place was perfect for us. It was just the two of us, but you could sleep 10 here if you utilized a few couches (although with just 2 bathrooms that would be tight). Very clean and comfortable. Nice outside decks. The fenced yard is small but easily accessible and fine for our 2 small dogs. We had a nice time in Big Canoe playing tennis, hiking with the dogs and going to the fitness center. On the last day we took our 4-wheel drive on the Jeep Trail. A bit hairy but we made it through! And it's less than an hour to Blue Ridge which is a nice place to visit also. Owners were responsive and easy to communicate with. Two things to note - if a long-range view is important, this doesn't have it. The decks are great and surrounded by trees and very private and peaceful, but no long range views. And two - we had a bit of a problem figuring out the TV's. If you're more tech-savy or used to Roku you won't have the problems we did. Eventually (and with guidance from the owner) we figured it out. However, neither of these items would stop us from renting again. GREAT PLACE! and we loved Big Canoe.
