"Such a hidden gem! Loved the view and peacefulness of the property. The unit was decorated and stocked perfectly. Very spacious. My son loved seeing the train behind the property go by. Enjoyed our stay with our two young children and will return next year. "

"Great location! Nice walk into town! Grounds are well kept. We had a spacious deck off our room with table and chairs to have morning coffee, pastry and fruit that was by the way delivered to your room!"

"Exceptional service from all staff and just an all-around beautiful property with thoughtful special touches like water and chocolates offered in the evening. We have been staying at the sister property for over a decade and decided to try Hotel Maria this year instead. What an exceptional experience and that comes at no surprise. "Location was great for really great access to this quaint town. Roll out of bed and cross the bascule bridge (or watch it open- fun for kids)!, tons of great restaurants within 2-3 minute walk. All of the water happenings are visible from the hotel. Breakfast at Sift, a 5 minute walk "must" for great breakfast/ unbelievable croissants! Seaport close by 5 min car ride. Nice high quality rocking chairs on porches. Great restaurant on facility. Down to earth not pretentious. Just a great spot...

"It was a great stay. It was our first time staying at a Bed and Breakfast and will certainly not be our last now with such a great experience we had at the House of 1833. Evan was an exceptional host/chef. He gave us a tour of the home and the history. The breakfast in the morning was incredible from the homemade apple cranberry muffin to the Greek Italian Mac & Cheese Spinach Souffle. We would highly recommend this B&B to anyone looking for a quiet, yet close to town place to stay. "

"This was such a great find. The rooms are immaculate. They’re not fancy by any means, but you can tell they take pride in cleanliness and presentation. The front desk staff were great, and they had a nice continental breakfast. I really liked the fact that we could park at the beach and have our own private section of the beach as well by staying there. I didn’t get to use the pool, but it had a nice area and upper deck to go with it. Would absolutely recommend!"

"We only stayed one night, but we would definitely come back to stay here again. The room was very clean. Enjoyed the continental breakfast (although we do typically stay at a Hilton hotel because of their free hot breakfast). There are so many things to do within walking distance. "

"It borders the salt pond which is beautiful and tranquil. There are free kayaks to use on it. There is a nice outdoor shower. Rooms are small but worth it for the location. I went with my son and we were comfortable. but More than 2 in a room might be cramped unless you really like each other. There were thoughtful hooks and shelves to help store things to make the most of the space. I only used the outdoor shower with attached changing area to reduce congestion in the room. location is...

"It's not fancy, but it has everything we need for a quick beach getaway. I come every year with my daughter. We love the easy access to the beach, the bar right on the beach, and everyone is so friendly. "
