Our recent stay at The Lodge was overall pleasant and comfortable, and we truly see great potential in this property. The rooms are spacious, well-equipped with kitchen facilities, and ideal for families or longer stays. We also appreciated the convenience of having an indoor waterpark, a Starbucks, and both a restaurant and bar right on the premises — everything you might need for a relaxing getaway.
The dining experiences were particularly enjoyable. The restaurant offered delicious meals with great service, and our breakfasts and coffees at Starbucks were consistently excellent. These amenities truly enhance the overall guest experience and make The Lodge stand out.
However, we did encounter some disappointments with the front desk service upon arrival. The staff member at reception seemed distracted and disengaged — she was on her phone when we arrived, and we had to wait for her to acknowledge us. When we finally checked in, she provided incorrect information about the pool, and we had to return to the desk for clarification. Additionally, we were not informed that the pool would close earlier the following day due to the holiday, which unfortunately affected our plans.
While the facilities themselves are impressive, the first impression created by front desk staff is equally important. A warmer welcome, better attentiveness, and more accurate communication would make a significant difference in guests’ overall experience.
