"The Melanesian is a long-standing feature of the Port Vila accommodation scene and it's very well-priced. The Orchid Rooms are very pleasant but they all face onto the pool area. So you will want to have the windows shut if the music played at the bar and people's conversations bother you. The AC unit in my room did an OK job with keeping the room comfortable even with windows shut. The rooms have a good desk and small table for people needing to do work while there. "Our spa room was a little tired however it was immaculately cleaned daily and all the staff were super friendly and helpful. Could not fault the wait staff at the bar and restaurant. Nothing was a problem."

"Food offerings were pretty standard, although the Teppanyaki was awesome. Pool was very good. Boat to the Erakor resort for Lunch/Dinner was very useful. Significant refurbishment from 8am to 5pm was annoying, made it difficult to relax on the verandah - due to drilling/grinding etc. Room was well located next to the lagoon, spacious and functional. Loved our 1st visit to Vanuatu, the close proximity of Erakor and Ramada hotels provided lots of eating/drinking options."

"Hotel has no elevator so need to climb 1 or 2 floors, with luggage if there’s no porter. Location quite near beach cafes and bars. Walking distance to city’s only shopping mall. Hotel rooftop has good view of sunsets. There’s a karaoke room and small coffee cafe in lobby "

"Staff were wonderful. Friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, we were unable to swim in the lagoon due to pollution. The 3 swimming pools were great and very clean. "

"Had the most perfect stay in paradise. Everything you want for a relaxed island getaway. Accomodation was perfect, staff very friendly and helpful and excellent meals at the restaurant. We used the kayaks every day and snorkeled at the small reef to the east of the island. All villas appear to have water frontage. Could not recommend more highly if you are after a low key and relaxing escape "

"The whole team were so welcoming and helpful. Petter and Anna are lovely and accommodate any needs. Shout out to the dive team as well who showed me the house reef. The whole experience was more like a holiday with friends or family than what you get at a big resort. Meals and cocktails were amazing and all are made with passion. "Beautiful spot but the lack of air conditioning and the fact that a storm made it so the beach breeze essentially stopped for the 2nd half of our week made it very hard to be comfortable. Food was amazing and so were the staff, however, just be mindful of the time of the year you go and maybe not in the hotter months."

"I would like a refund for the accommodation. The property was not as advertised. There was no operating restaurant. The room was unclean The shutters on the windows broken. Overall very unsatisfactory and not what was represented. I would like my $1200 money returned."
