Contemporary, modern barn conversion with private hot tub

Shave Farm cottage is a newly converted barn.
It is semi detached to the main farm house which dates back to the late 18th century.
The cottage is modern and spacious with a large open plan living area and exposed beams throughout.
There are two large en-suite bedrooms going off from the main living area. These both have king-size beds and countryside views.
The kitchen is fully equipped with a four ring hob and oven, microwave oven, fridge, dishwasher and a washer/dryer.
The cottage has central heating, its own large garden complete with trampoline and slide and its very own private hot tub.
Shave farm cottage is the perfect place to unwind and relax and a complementary hamper is included so it starts the minute you arrive.

Working Farm: Shave Farm cottage is on a working farm, where we milk around 100 cows.
Guests are invited to observe milking or even help feed calves.

Private hot tub : Shave farm cottage comes complete with its own private hot tub .

Perfect for a quiet getaway. First class facilities, exceptionally clean and the hosts were very accomodating. Hot tub was perfect .... Just what we wanted.

The owners were so lovely and welcoming, and the children loved seeing the animals on the farm. The hot tub is a bonus, and so nice to look out at the view after a day of exploring. The fire pit was also a big hit for marshmallow roasting! The property was spotless and very comfortable, with everything you could need. It's also in a great location to explore lots of different places in the surrounding areas. The owners were great help in giving local knowledge about where to spend our days. A wonderful place.

Beautifully furnished and comfortable with everything you’d need in a ‘home from home’ plus some additions you wouldn’t necessarily expect like a dishwasher and washing machine. Outdoor space and hot tub are both wonderful and great for relaxing at the end of a a busy day. Our hosts were friendly and helpful. Location is great for exploring and there are some great places to eat nearby. Would highly recommend

Peaceful

Good location. Private and sat in lovely gardens and surroundings with pleasant country views. Spacious accommodation with big rooms, gorgeous flag floor and a very cosy hotel just by the bedroom door, under vine cladded pergola filled with birdsong. Great blackout curtains and friendly hosts.

Amazing

Kate and James the Hosts were very friendly and helpful.The accommodation was beautiful inside and of a boutique hotel standard .comfortable beds and each bedroom had ensuite which was great .all the equipment you would need for a self catering property was of a high standard .The private hot tub was definitely an added bonus after a day exploring National Trust properties 4 of which were very close by . The local pub served excellent food as recommended by our hosts in the information booklet provided .We would definitely make another visit in the future .

Shave farm

What a beautiful accomodation. The hosts were very kind and gave us all sorts of information about the area. The beds were very comfortable and the house was very clean.The garden was lovely and the garden furniture was perfect. The only negative was the noise from the nearby road, but you didn't hear it from inside the house. We would highly recommend the accomodation.

Lovely break

We spent a week here in August and have just got round to submitting a review. The cottage was very comfortable and clean and the farm itself was well kept and beautiful. We all loved the hot tub, as well as the opportunity to roast marshmallows at the firepit. Kate and James were really friendly and welcoming. I wouldn’t hesitate to book again or to recommend to others.

Wonderful accomdation

Beautiful bungalow in a peaceful farm location complete with fantastic hot tub. Well stocked, very clean and loved the welcome gift of chocolates & wine. Highly recommend! James & Kate are lovely hosts.

Wonderful Easter Break

Lovely stay in the self catering cottage very comfortable a home from home. The hot tube was just what was needed after a few long walks. Location is great can get to most other towns and villages. The owners were lovely and we enjoyed meeting the new baby calves. Would definitely stay again.

Lovely spacious accommodation

The barn conversion was perfect. It was spotless and had everything we needed. The hot tub provided a lovely place to relax at the end of each day. The children thoroughly enioyed using the goal to play football and bouncing on the trampoline.

Nice break

Kitchen is being updated soon, new oven and hob mainly needed and bigger fridge. Plenty of kitchen equipment provided. Bedrooms are roomy and comfortable but chest of drawers would be helpful. Found hot tub temperamental, all jets wouldn't work together but lovely and warm. Hosts extremely helpful. Quite near to A303 so had some road noise.

Homely stay with a touch of luxury

We had a lovely stay and thoroughly enjoyed having the hot tub to relax on at the end of a day exploring the Jurassic coast. The owners are on site and were very helpful. We were very pleased with the accommodation and would highly recommend it!

Fantastic weekend away

We stayed in the self catering cottage for a long weekend in June 21. Kate greeted us when we arrived and showed us to the cottage, the bottle of wine and box of chocolates was a lovely touch. The cottage is very spacious and spotlessly clean. The grounds were very pretty with the cottage garden flowers in bloom. The kids loved visiting the animals and playing on the play equipment. There was plenty of space around the cottage for them to play safely too. The hot tub was a fantastic addition after a long day out. We will definitely be back!

Beautiful property in lovely surroundings

Shave Farm is a lovely setting for a relaxing holiday. The Cottage is extremely well appointed and comfortable. The hot tub is an essential for us when we stay in the UK and this one didn’t let us down. It’s huge and really easy to operate. Kate and James were the perfect hosts; available if you need them but otherwise unobtrusive. Thank you for having us!
