"The area around the property is magnificent. The property itself is very nice. The owner was very friendly and helpful. The only concern I have is in regard to safety in case of a fire. The amenities are upstairs and the stairs are quite narrow. An older person would have extreme difficulty getting down and the windows do not appear to be an option. Maybe there were other options but I didn’t see any. "

"Large attractive room with comfortable bed, well appointed but being an older building could do with some maintenance. We slept well and enjoyed dinner and breakfast. Staff are friendly, some are very laid back. Parking was easy. Internet worked well. We would stay again."

"Nice and tidy, nice standard and extra amenities such as a fridge and microwave. Nothing not like apart from the cafe is not open in the evening but that was clean in the description, I just missed it."

"The Jack Vettriano suite was a delight to stay in and the food was as exquisite as ever. The only slight disappointment was that due to necessary work some parts of the garden were closed."

"A clean and comfortable place to stay for the night. Rather late check-in, and early check-out, to accommodate the owners, who do not live on the premises. Breakfast was not included but we were given a good recommendation. Staff friendly and helpful and a very reasonable price."

"We choose this Hotel as base to explore Oxfordshire.The Hotel is in an excellent location for walking the Thames path with very friendly helpful staff.The morning Breakfast was amazing."

A great location in the heart of a lovely town, a good selection of ales, friendly staff who make you feel welcome, and a really enjoyable dinner.
