Weekend trip with friends

Very comfortable house with spacious living area and kitchen. Great view of the river and bridge from the balcony and living area. Proximity to downtown Hood River was a also big plus. Parking was a bit of a challenge and was not mentioned as part of the check-in process. The listing indicates a king and two queens, but the “queens” seemed to be fulls instead. Overall, the house was well-equipped to accommodate our group of friends for the weekend.

Outstanding View

We had a great stay at this property. Very clean home and great amenities for our family. It was a close walk into town via the stairs. Enjoyed our time here and home away from home. The only warning is if you have a low clearance vehicle you won’t be able to park in the driveway, it is steep, but there is street parking.

House was wonderful ! Great open floor plan.

Would have been more helpful to have basic bathroom necessities available - shampoo, conditioner & bath wash. Only one washcloth in master bathroom. For the price of renting the home, I would have expected these things.

Great place for staying in Hood River! Spectacular View!

This is a great place to stay and was exactly as advertised on VRBO. The host was very responsive. The view of the Columbia River is spectacular! It was perfect for coffee in the morning and a glass of wine in the afternoon. It's only a couple of minutes from downtown and to the bridge across the Columbia. We had a great time and highly recommend.

Wonderful property and amazing views!

The house was well laid out. Stunning view from the patio and lots of space for our family and company. Cebtral location to hood river shops and marina. Great communication with host and check in was was easy!

Great view, not-so-great driveway

The condo was clean, well-stocked, and had a gorgeous view. It completely met our needs, with the exception of the driveway. The steepness at the top of the driveway scraped the bottom of my car as I drove over it. I called the property manager twice to see if there was an alternate parking space, and no one ever got back to me.

Wonderful stay in this townhome with a beautiful view of the Columbia River and surrounding mountains. Condo was spacious and comfy and kitchen had everything we needed. Quiet neighborhood and friendly neighbors. Would stay again!

Business Trip

The house was neat and clean. The kitchen was well stocked with spices and condiments, pots and pans. The beds and pillows were comfortable and the view was amazing! We spent as much time as we could out on the porches enjoying the view, the sunshine, and the happy birds! We choose Hood River as our destination to do a workshop via the internet instead of sitting at home doing it!

Nice getaway

This house has all the necessary requirements for a great stay in Hood River. Nice location, quiet, great view of Mt. Adams and a comfy great room for lounging and playing cards. My one criticism would be the lack of curtains or shades on the great room windows. I can highly recommend Salman House for your stay in Hood River.

Need more stars!

I have travelled pretty extensively in the U.S. and stayed in a large variety of vrbos and other rentals. This one certainly stands out!! The space is beautiful, spacious, airy, light, and very clean! The beds comfy, the bedding natural fibers and great quality, down and feather pillows and blankets...ahhh... (but they do have others as well for those allergic). The amenities are ridiculous, and the most random, yet thoughtful things are there for your use...need a martini shaker? Check. Small serving knives for cheese? Check. Two separate coffee makers and kinds for those decaf drinkers? Check. Yoga mat? Check (though I brought my own, but still...). Easy check in? Check. You get the idea...the place is dialed in, and oh, the view, well, you can see that in the photos! A-one + rental, totally dialed in! Staff are great to work with! Just don't book it when I'm planning my next Hood River trip!!
