The water is only 200 metres away, so swimming, walks along the fjord and quiet moments by the coast become a natural part of the holiday. The area around Virksund harbour has a lively maritime atmosphere with a sailing club, restaurant, ice cream shop and small fishermen’s houses.



For children, the area is especially appealing. At the harbour, they can catch crabs, look for fish, shrimps and jellyfish or compete on the crab racing track. A playground, child-friendly beach and bathing jetty are close by, and the campsite offers a pool, mini golf and a large playground for a fee.



The area is also well suited to walking and fishing. By the fjord, it is possible to fish for species such as trout, herring and garfish, and Ørslevkloster Lake is within easy reach. Here, you can enjoy a holiday with nature, harbour life and activities close to the house.
