"This is the best place we have stayed on our trip! Wish we could have spent more time here. The owner was so kind and welcoming. The rooms are beautiful and very clean. The beds are comfortable. Breakfast is a traditional Icelandic breakfast. It was great. They also have an awesome coffee machine. If you like dogs they also have the cutest puppy. Meeting her was a highlight of our trip. "

"Small but strategically placed property right beside Vestrahorn and the Viking Village. Room look updated, although small with not much room to move around the beds, it had everything needed for a comfortable and quiet stay with great views. Very friendly welcome and with it right beside Vestrahorn, it was an ideal stay for getting pics at sunset and sunrise. Breakfast was standard fare but dinner options were limited to soup, a panini or grilled cheese and ham. Book early as likely to sell out...

"Probably the best hostel our group stayed at during our trip to Iceland. Everything is very neat, there are plenty of shared restrooms and showers, which are also very clean. The shared kitchen is awesome, with everything you could possibly need. The lady running the hostel was also so kind and helpful and there even exists a drying room in the basement which we took full advantage after arriving here after a particularly rainy day. The only slight negative is the high price of the laundry...

"Apotek Guesthouse is the place you must stay in Hofn! We absolutely loved our two nights there and would go back in a heartbeat. Pristine in all areas, great wifi, plenty of hot water, lovely kitchen area which guests are welcome to use, dining area, lovely coffee and hot chocolate machine, cereal and cake free breakfast - beds are sooo comfie, honestly a 10/10 stay. Across the road a lovely swimming pool with hot tubs - a great restaurant not too pricey and a lemon garage a few more steps up...

"We arrived around 8 and they were very helpful with dining options outside of the hotel but we ended up eating there, which was an amazing choice! The service was excellent, the food was delicious. We spoke with a worker for almost an hour after the restaurant should have closed and got many suggestions on where to go on our trip and lots of information about Iceland. Wonderful stay! "

"Breakfast buffet is the Best!!!!! Grandma’s unique pancakes were delicious! Hotel is full of history of the family. I enjoyed the family tree in dining room. All the precious family heirlooms thru out the hotel were fun to look at. I highly recommend this place to everyone. "

"We had no complaints about the room, just a nice quiet place to spend the night despite being close to the ring road. Breakfast is included and was very nice. The receptionists are friendly and wifi works without issues. Parking is not a problem as there is a big parking lot available."

"Lovely and kind host that kept the guesthouse very clean. Breakfast had many options and was included. Restaurant nearby for dinner had tasty fish and lamb. 5 star hiking trail beside the guesthouse."
