Historic Home by Dogwood Lake/Glendale

With only a few minutes drive to Dogwood Lake and Glendale Fish & Wildlife area, this newly renovated historic 1850s home is perfect for your next getaway with friends, or that peaceful vacation. We are located 8 miles from I69 and the town of Washington.

We have outfitted our home with all the amenities and comforts to make your stay as pleasant as possible! Our property provides privacy and you will enjoy listening to the sounds of nature while sitting around a campfire with a cup of coffee
The space
Gorgeous newly-renovated property built In 1850. Legend has it, Abraham Lincoln once stayed in the home!

Due to the historical nature of the home, the stairs are steep and narrow. We offer a bedroom and bathroom on the main floor for those who would prefer not to climb them.

Our home is located near the entrance to Glendale park, we are 8 miles from interstate 69 and the town of Washington.

Additional Amenities we offer:
-Games, books, puzzles and children’s toys.
-Coffee bar and a fully stocked kitchen.
-Washing machine, dryer and ironing board.
-Pack and play (on request)
-Desk and workspace for those who may wish to work remotely.
-Wi-fi and Tv.

We liked that it was in the country. It was quiet and peaceful. It had all the modern amenities making our stay pleasant. They creatively merged the old and new part of the home. The only thing we would have checked before we booked was confirm the size of the bed. We are larger stature people and would have preferred a larger bed. Our host was communicative from the moment we booked through check in. All in all it was delightful .

our visit to Montgomery Indiana

we enjoyed our stay very much. The house was larger than I thought it would be and very clean. A very comfortable place and a quiet spot in the countryside. When we arrived I had a problem with the door code but a phone call and they took care of it right away. I hope to return, maybe next year. We will have to wait and see.
