Enjoy Amazing Smoky Mountain View in Large, Comfortable Home in Treetops!

Morning, noon or night you will enjoy the phenomenal view from the multi-tiered decks of this beautiful mountain retreat. Sitting on the upper deck gives the feeling of being in an treehouse. Our 2500 square foot house features both open and covered decks for outdoor fun. There are dining tables, porch chairs and a gas grill.

We are located in a mountainside, gated community with streams, a waterfall, a duck pond and a picnic area. The house is set on a quiet road with a concrete drive for easy access. You can enjoy taking long walks or bicycle rides right inside the gates of the community.

There is a warm cozy feeling in the large living/dining room area with its stone, wood-burning fireplace, cedar paneling and vaulted ceilings; you can see the mountains easily through the sliding glass doors. Our kitchen has everything you need - just bring the groceries. The downstairs family room has a wood stove, 2 sofas and a table for playing cards or games.

The upstairs features a large king-size master suite, with a private bath and doors that open onto the upper decks, as well as a queen bedroom and one with two twin beds. These two bedrooms share an additional bathroom upstairs. Downstairs has a queen size bedroom and an adjoining bathroom with a full washer & dryer. Additional sleeping is available in a queen sleeper sofa and a day bed with a trundle downstairs.

There are so many things to do in the area - hiking, biking, golf, parks, fishing, wildlife, horseback riding, shopping, restaurants, sightseeing, white-water rafting, gem mining, antique shopping, scenic drives, gambling just to name a few.

Nestled in North Carolina's southern mountains, Franklin is large enough to offer most everything you need, yet still have the peace and tranquility of the mountains. Spectacular waterfalls, fantastic hiking trails, pristine fishing streams and abundant wildlife are just a few of the many things available in this area. Each year Franklin offers numerous festivals and special events including Pickin' on the Square which features live music each Saturday night June through October.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was very welcoming and accommodating. The kitchen was like being at home. The decor was inviting. Loved that the Christmas tree was still up. It was a little cold so we didn’t get to enjoy the deck as much as we would have liked so I guess we’ll have to book another trip when it’s warmer.

We had a nice trip ! Owner was great.. we didn’t use downstairs at all .. we had 5 girls and downstairs not needed .. it’s a big place , great for a family trip .. downstairs could use some airing out as there is no air condition (there is heat) driveway was great with a lot of parking and also they had a blower that I used to blow off driveway during the fall .. view was lovely !

Wonderful home

The house was spacious, clean, and the most well stocked home we've ever stated in. The owner was very responsive and accommodating to our needs. The view from the porch was beautiful. We all had a great time and enjoyed our trip so much this summer.

Gorgeous and relaxing

Property was awesome and owner was great to work with. We fed and watched a pair of hummingbirds daily, took walks throughout the private and gated subdivision, played with a neighbors dog that came to visit, and just rested and relaxed . Would stay there again in a heartbeat!

Home Base for or Kayak Instructor Training on the Tuck

Beautiful property with lots of amenities. Easily accommodated our group with lots of beds/bathrooms for a crowd of non-couples focused on participating in a 3 day on water training. At one point the power went out due to a downed tree. Great communication with the owner and quick service from Duke Power solved the problem rapidly without even denting our schedule.

Tucked way and Private, great morning Coffee views

The place is generally clean upon arrival, it has all you need to cook diners, just make a stop at the grocery store on the way in Ingles, food lion or walmart they are very close in mountain distances, both Franklin and Sylva have great restaurants...Take your pick also close enough to visit Cashiers, lake Glennville or Highlands for the day for shopping or just be a foodie, plenty of places to explore trails and waterfalls or take guided jeep tours.the host is flexible and very reasonable. Just clean up after yourself and leave the place the way you found it or better, follow the check out procedures. Definitely a large place for family trips....I will be beack at this location again in the future you get a lot with where this price point is....

Great view!

I stayed with my friends and family mid. November, even though all the trees had lost their leaves the views from the porch were stunning. The house was very clean and had everything we needed and plenty of space. Yes, the driveway is steep but, after doing it once it’s not a problem. I personally wouldn’t attempt it in a car though. We had 2 small SUVs and just used the low gear. Linda was very fast responding to our questions. We hope to come back when it’s warmer.

Fall Foliage Vacation

We recently enjoyed a family vacation in Franklin NC. We were so excited to have timed the peak of Fall Foliage. The home was amazing with plenty of room to spread out. Our boys enjoyed having their separate space downstairs. The home was very clean and well stocked. The view from the deck was amazing. We enjoyed using the fireplace every night. Not far from town with a huge Ingles grocery store and many local and chain restaurants. Easy to get to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park which is one of our favorite places to be.

A very nice property, perfect for our family, older parents, middle aged couple with our young adult children. 8 of us. We caught the changing fall colors perfectly, the view of the Smokies from the deck is amazing. A very comfortable, well stocked home. Plenty of plates and kitchen utensils for a group. Karla, the host, is very responsive and addressed all our needs right away. The drive to the property is a little harrowing for flatlanders from Florida like us but we got used to it and the view and home are worth it.

Just Wonderful!

My husband and adult children really enjoyed staying in this cozy home with plenty of space and incredible views of the mountains. The home is located in a wooded, gated community with lots of trees and mountain views. It is very private and safe, and we enjoyed sitting on the covered porch at all times of the day, cooking in the well-stocked kitchen, or lounging on the comfortable sectional sofa. The beds were comfortable, and the house was clean. The house is close to the Great Smokey Mountains National Park, waterfalls, gem mining, restaurants, antique and gift shops, whitewater sports, stores, and just about anything you'd need. We made so many wonderful memories, and we would definitely stay there again. Thank you!
