At True North Cabin Rentals we have 5 cabin’s together with nice lake views from the 1 acre resort property. Cabin #4 is a open loft, two bedroom, one bath cabin for rent at beautiful Higgins Lake that sleep 10. Included you will find a 1 queen bed in each bedroom, 2 full & 1 twin bed in the loft, couch, tv/dvds, coffee maker, toaster, dishes, glassware, silverware, pots and pans linens, towels and everything else you will need for your fun filled summer vacation, along with a fire pit, BBQ grill, hammock and horse shoes. A nice shallow sandy beach and Public dock just steps from the cabin. The Silver Dollar Bar just one block up the street and party store less than a mile away. Cabin is located at 119 Thorpe Ave. Higgins Lake MI. Pontoons, Fishing & Ski Boats, Jet Skis, Paddleboards, Kayaks, ATVs, Scooters, and UTVs available for rent at a discounted price for all renters through GO FAST Rentals that is also one block away.
PETS OK! (Pet fee is $45 per pet) Campfire wood available for purchase on property.

Overall a good property to stay at for the price and close proximity to lake, also was clean and had air conditioning, but lacks several basic features. No locks on any bedroom or bathroom doors. No hooks/shelving in bedrooms or bathroom to hang towels/clothes. Toilet lid doesn’t stay up falls down so pee on seat, bathroom hand towel hook has been glued but still falls in trash when trying to hang towel back. Shower head has no handle for washing little ones feet. Again realize this is simple camping living but told owner about several of these things last year and none were corrected.

Family Get together

We actually rented 3 of the cabins - it was perfect for a quick little family get together . A short walk to the beach , we also rented a pontoon boat for a day and cruised around the lake . Made good use of the BbQ & firepit .

Annual Family Higgins Lake Trip

My extended family visits Higgins Lake every year. This year we needed a cabin instead of a tent. We could have put our two kids and their significant others in this rental with us. Will use them again.

Higgins lake vaca

Very nice! Clean, quiet, can walk to Higgins lake access right down the street. Also Higgins lake state park is 1.7 miles away. Very nice beach! Jeremy the Host was excellent at communicating with us. He’s close by. He stopped in to welcome us. He communicated by text with us too!

Nice cabin

Place is clean and freshly updated. Owner is responsive. The AC is portable, adequate but not ideal. Furniture is new but rental property quality. Check in/out is very easy. 30 yards from the water. Could be improved with one or two small quiet window ACs.
