Thanks for viewing our listing! We have lots of things to do right here at the property, and we love families! We have a high chair and a Pak 'n Play with a good mattress, along with books and games for kids. In the summertime we have a pontoon boat for rent* as well as pedal boats, and kayaks that come with the rental along with cornhole, horseshoes, and more.

We are in residence upstairs, but your space is completely private with a separate entrance and a locked door on the stairs.

The lake is your backyard, with an easy walk down to the cove, and the entire lower level of our home has been renovated to accommodate guests.

We have a private dock in a secluded cove. You can rent our 24-foot pontoon boat for $250 a day during season (May through mid-September, please check for availability as we also rent it to other area cabins).

Enjoy a large great room with vaulted ceilings and a stone fireplace, a theater room, pool table, dart board, dining area and a small kitchenette. There is more seating outside on a huge covered patio, with a grill, dining table and chairs. Large backyard leads down to the cove. We have kayaks, a bonfire pit, corn hole and horseshoes.

THINGS TO NOTE:
We are in residence upstairs, but you will have complete privacy with a separate entrance and a locked door on the stairs to the upper level. We frequently never meet or even see our guests.

* Please check availability for the pontoon boat.

The "kitchenette" is a small former wet bar that has been outfitted with a coffee maker, refrigerator, microwave, convection burner, crock pot and griddle. There is no oven or stove, but there is a gas grill outside with a side burner for pasta, rice, or anything you would cook on a stove.

Lake Nottely is a TVA "working" lake, which means there is a big draw-down in the Fall. Our cove is usually full from mid-April through September. They begin to drop the water after Labor Day.

We have a washer and dryer upstairs you are welcome to use. We plan to install one downstairs eventually, hopefully by next year.

Unfortunately, we can't accept pets, but Nottely Oaks Animal Hospital and Pet Resort is approximately a mile down the road. They will happily board your furry friends, and release them for daytime adventures, to be returned later on. If you're interested in this option, just look them up. I would happily post their website and phone number, but VRBO won't let me.

We had a wonderful stay! Doug was so helpful making sure we had everything we needed. We were hauling a 18 foot trailer with full size rigs and he made sure we would be able to get in and out. Although the driveway was extremely steep we were able to make it workout with the help of Doug. Beautiful place and every morning we seen deer.

A little slice of heaven!!

This place was fantastic! Check in was a breeze, the house was immaculate and everything we needed was there for us. There are easy, detailed instructions posted for anything in the house needing instructions. Doug and Margie were so kind and accommodating. Hands down the best hosts we’ve ever come across. My mom is very unsteady on her feet as she’s elderly and they were kind enough to let us use their golf cart to haul our stuff down and to take my mom down to the lake. Absolutely genuine people who care about their guests! We will most certainly be coming back and highly recommend this place. They also have a theatre room that our whole family enjoyed in the evenings, a pool table, games, so much stuff to keep everyone happy! 10/10

The place was GREAT!! I would of not changed anything about this rental, the space was awesome and the hosts were very helpful in anyway. Will be back in the future, can't wait to be able to utlize the outdoor spaces, once the weather warms up. Definitely a gem on the lake.

Mountain getaway

Not a good fit for us. A long way down a fairly steep hill from the parking area to the unit. My wife could not navigate without my help. Making multiple trips with luggage upon arrival and on departure was difficult. In the fall the lake is drawn down so poontoon not available and kayaks and fishing hard for us at our age. Sound in theater room broken. We did see a lot of deer which was nice. Could be a great place for younger renters with some updates.

Fall Leaf Peeping Getaway

Everything was absolutely perfect! The owners were very accommodating for our later than intended arrival and went above and beyond building a fire for us one night down by the lake. I plan to return in the summer with my family!

You could not find a better place to stay. The owners are the most helpful, wonderful people. Full of knowledge on places to go and things to experience. Perfect place for our relaxation needs. Top 3 wows for me were the theatre, the mattress in the beach room and the water pressure!!! Doug and Margie really thought about the needs of the guests when they put together this space. Will definitely be returning with the family.

Weekend retreat

Margie and Doug are excellent hosts. We enjoyed our weekend away from home and would definitely like to return. We all enjoyed spending time on the boat and morning coffee on the patio. The kids really liked the darts, pool table and movie room.

Loved this place. For all the amenities there, you can’t beat the price! The hosts were very nice and Doug helped my husband while he was fixing a leaking brake line. The kitchenette is small but well stocked. We had a Coleman stove so we did some of our cooking outside. We are already looking at when we can return!

So Accommodating

We greatly enjoyed our stay at Hidden Cove, and we were delighted to be Margie and Doug’s guests. They’re extremely responsive to the needs of their guests and make sure their presence isn’t felt. Their boat rental is a bargain!
