Alone at Last - Create Lasting Memories

There are a lot of special amenities packed into this cute little cabin. With two large flat screen televisions, you have the option of watching a movie or binge watch your favorite show on YouTube TV while snuggled up in front of the electric fireplace or from the comfort of the king size bed in the upstairs loft. Meals can be cooked in the fully equipped kitchen or on the gas grill located on the porch. In the kitchen you will find a full size stove, oven and refrigerator, a coffee maker, toaster, microwave, and even a blender! You can dine inside at the kitchen table or outside on the screened porch, both of which have lovely views of the surrounding woods.

Enjoy your evenings around the outdoor fire pit toasting marshmallows and relaxing in the steamy hot tub. Don't worry about the weather since the hot tub is located on the screened porch. Alone At Last has WiFi, if you need to stay "connected" during your stay and is located only 7 miles from downtown Helen!

• Minimum Age Requirement: Alone at Last is available to families or to guests 21 years and older.
• Parking: Space is available for 2 vehicles.
• Access: The road is dirt and gravel. Not recommended for low-profile vehicles.
• Pets: Alone at Last is Not pet-friendly. No pets allowed.
• Location: 5 miles to downtown Helen.

The bathroom vent fan did not work. Conversely, the upstairs ceiling fan was extremely loud making it nearly unusable. Otherwise, the cabin was fine. We appreciate the opportunity to get into the cabin an hour earlier than scheduled.

Cozy Little Cabin

We decided to spend the weekend in GA to celebrate our first wedding anniversary & wanted something relatively small for just the two of us. This cabin is exactly that! Very cozy & pretty private. A couple of things worth mentioning to keep in mind before booking: • the gravel driveway is really rough & may do damage to your vehicle if you drive a small car (although, I don’t think this is any fault of this particular property owner) • there’s no washer, dryer, or dishwasher so prepare before making the trip (not advertised that it does in the listing, just something to note)• the stairs to the loft (bedroom) upstairs are incredibly squeaky & the bathroom is downstairs • the exhaust vent in the bathroom doesn’t work Some positives: • the hot tub is well maintained & clean• the couch is comfortable & reclines • overall cleanliness is good

Nice quiet spot

My husband and I stayed here for a week for our anniversary. The home was just the right size and well maintained. Hot tub was nice and so was the tub in the bedroom. The road coming in was pretty rough but our vehicle managed it well.

Nice cabin

Listen, I know it’s the mountains we come every year but beware of the driveway. We have a Nissan Maxima and the washout on the road was difficult to navigate without ripping the front of my car off. Which hindered how many times we were willing to risk it to go into town.Cabin was nice no frills- hot tub worked no problem. I must’ve missed the jet tub in the ad, but that was a nice surprise.even tho we didn’t use it.

Great overall just rough around the edges

No complaints, just a little rough with some of the things. The comforter was old, the pots and pans were abused, the knives were small and hard to use for preparing food. The lighting was very meager in the kitchen. I'd go again but going to look elsewhere first. It was very quaint and the hot tub was just fine with a great screened in porch. The lot was nice and private, however the gravel road needs filling bad with axel breaking ruts

Peaceful getaway

The cabin was clean and comfortable. Some things advertised were not there as washer/ dryer and Keurig coffee maker. The road leading in was not marked well and we would have never found it had we not been able to call for help. The road was in bad shape however and needed some work to keep it safe.We did enjoy our stay. I loved the hot tub and porch especially.

Cozy

The property itself was as advertised. I will say the pictures make it look a bit bigger than it is. The actual road to get to the cabin was terrible. I was definitely worried about my car every time we came back and went out. It could use some gravel or something to help build it back up. We stayed for 6 nights and there were a total of 4 towels. With no washer and dryer its a good thing we brought some of our own. Even if we only stayed for 2 or 3 nights with the hot tub it still wouldnt really be enough towels for the 2 of us. If you plan on staying and actually cooking then the utensils, pots and pans arent that great either. Also note that if you dont get close enough to the downstairs tv when you turn it on then it will also turn the upstairs tv on. I did find that if I pointed the remote up toward the tv that I could turn it off from downstairs.We absolutely loved the jacuzzi tub after we ended up cleaning it a bit better ourselves. I will say that the cabin floors could have been a bit cleaner as well. Got a little water on the floor when we first arrived, i went to wipe it up with one of the bath mats and the bath mat was already filthy from the floor. However, I will say that despite all of this we really did enjoy our stay here. It was nice and quiet at night and would make a great getaway especially if you wanted to be alone for a while.

Alone at last is goodbye at last!

I will not be renting this place again. Pictures are deceptive as this place is small. Good things: the bed was soft, recliners were comfortable and the hot tub was great! Bathing; too many stairs not really made for anyone who is disabled. The floors were nasty as I had to go buy a swiffer to clean. No rugs anywhere so, I bought one for the kitchen and two for the bathroom. Having to go downstairs to the bathroom in the middle of the night, is dangerous. The only heat is the fireplace and a unit on the wall that is old. I almost froze to death! It’s not easy finding the place, road is kinda hidden and if you meet anyone along the road makes it hard to get by them. There is no washing machine or dryer. VRBO tells you that they have a coin laundry, which happens to be a laundry mat 3.4 miles in Helen! There is no privacy on the porch where the hot tub is located as there are cabins in front of you. Pots and pans are pathetic along with the utensils. Definitely need replacing all of them. Jacuzzi was leaking so we couldn’t use it. Just an overall depressing week if you ask me!! I couldn’t wait to leave. It’s a shame you spend lots of money and not have a good time. Lesson learned that’s for sure!!

Pefrect Honeymoon

My husband and I stayed at Alone at Last for a 4 day honeymoon and it was amazing. We loved everything about the cabin and the surroundings. The only downfall was that uber wouldnt go that far on the weekend however they do not advertise that it does so it is definitely not a knock on this property just something i think some people might want to know from experience. It was so perfect and we loved every minute of it. We will return for sure!

Amazing!

We absolutely loved our stay here. It was secluded (but not TOO secluded) and it was a nice place to unplug for a while and be able to relax. We also enjoyed the hot tub and the overall coziness and cleanliness of the house. Would definitely stay here again!!

Perfect getaway!

This was the perfect place to relax and explore. The property is just as described. Self check in was simple and communication with property management was prompt and professional. The location is beautiful and peaceful. It's close enough to town to enjoy all the outdoor activities the area has to offer. We started our days in the hot tub and ended them there. We would absolutely recommend unwinding here!
