"Stayed four nights. Couldn't beat the price. A great value inn. Renovated rooms. Staff was polite and helpful. Walked to Subway neighborhood was safe and people friendly. Be aware parking lot has very small spaces so a compact car is ideal. Definitely not an upscale hotel, but if you're checking it out you're probably on a budget like me. This was a clean safe place to rest each night after an exhausting day exploring everything Oakland and San Francisco had to offer "

"The room was comfortable. The bed was good if you like a fairly firm feel. The room smelled fresh but not scented. The included breakfast was very good. A person can make his/her own waffles. I really liked their coffee, even the coffee in the room. The staff was helpful. Parking wasn't a problem. When a person drives near they should look for a small sign that says Hampton Inn. I would like a bigger sign. There is a shopping center within walking distance or 2 minutes by car."
