Centrally located in the charming neighbourhood of Harwichport sits “Heart of Harwichport”, a well-appointed 4 bedroom, 2 bath traditional Cape and with oak floors and nicely decorated. Only .6 miles from beautiful and popular Bank Street Beach and a short distance to a great variety of authentic Cape Cod activities in the village of Harwichport, lovely walk to wychemere Harbor and the Ferry to Nantucket. This home is ideal for your next vacation getaway

You will feel very comfortable in the iving room with a Smart TV and fireplace, there are two dining room tables, one off the kitchen and the others, smaller one in the family room for additional seating. to the left. There is a fully-equipped kitchen . Down the hallway from the kitchen is the first floor bedroom with two single beds, across the hall is the main bathroom, further down the hall there are two more single beds, then across a Queen bed, as well as a full bath with shower. On the second floor you will find a huge loft bedroom with 5 beds and plenty of room to spread out more bedrooms offering plenty of room to spread out. This is ideal for kids. The loft has a whole house fan, All pther bedrooms have window A/C units to keep you cool at night.

This lovely home also offers a private one acre of property with a nice deck off the kitchen to eat al fresco. You can relax on the deck, bbq or sit in the sun and bask in the beautiful Cape Cod weather. Enjoy a quiet space for coffee in the morning, or have dinner under the stars. This is a “dog-friendly” home, so don't forget to bring the family dog!

Harwichport is a wonderful place to spend your vacation with a variety of different activities. You can enjoy so many great restaurants in town, for lunch, dinner, and breakfast, or pick up some sandwiches at the Mason Jar. You cannot forget Sundae School or School House for some of the best ice cream around.

We did not enjoy our stay in this home. We visited Harwichport over Labor Day so options were limited. I'll start with the good stuff, the place was affordable and slept a ton of people. There was plenty of space and the outdoor area was nice. However, when we arrived at the house on Friday, all of the doors had been left unlocked. As we arrived late at night, this did not make the house feel particularly safe, especially given that the back slider appears to have a broken lock and rely on 2x4s in the door for safety. We also noted that though the beds were made up, the sheets had clearly not been changed from the previous renters. There was dog hair, sand, dirt, and even what looked like blood on the bedding. Finally, one of the two bathrooms in the home was not functional. We were told this after check-in and since we were not informed what about the bathroom did not work, we could not use any of it, limiting us to one bathroom. Though we were told someone was being sent Saturday to fix it, no one arrived and no further communication was received. Paying for a home with 2 bathrooms and only being able to use one, when coming and going from the beach, is extremely disappointing.

I highly recommend this place and look forward to rebooking it. The place has everything you need except for toilet paper, paper towels, bath soap, working lightbulbs in some parts of the rooms like the dining room near the kitchen, and most importantly, an a/c in the upstairs attic bedroom space (2 fans are provided and it was warm) as well as an actual body mirror as the one in the linen closet which was hidden out of sight and blurred). communication with host was ok not great and not flexible with allowing guests to check in early or check out late. Be mindful that the host has neighbors who keep tabs on the place. The host must install spotlights in the front and the back of the house. It's pitch black. Oh, and it could use landscaping maintenance. The bedroom with a size bed had a stand-in shower, but the bathroom pipes were loud. Also, it has a musty cape smell, and I purchased a candle to make it smell better. Overall, beautiful spot

Reasonably priced for dog owners for the 4th of July week. Consistent with prior dog friendly houses with plenty of room and space for at least three families. Could be updated slightly but for amount of time in house, it was more than adequate. Owner was responsive when messaged and as a dog owner, would stay again.

The house was unfortunately not well maintained. It had the basics but many things hard to find. The number given to contact for entry never responded so left us standing outside for awhile until we tried the door and found it unlocked, left us a little uncomfortable. Though we paid a cleaning fee we had to do all of the laundry, dishes etc before leaving. Was glad we only rented for a weekend.

Great home for a family. The home is within walking distance to Bank Street beach and Harwichport downtown shops. The home comfortably fit a family five with room to spare. However, the home does need some cosmetic work in the kitchen and bathrooms. The owner is very responsive to texts and emails. Overall, the rental was a great week and would definitely book again.

La maison était bien localisée et plusieurs chambres et lits. Mais propreté ordinaire et beaucoup de travaux accumulés au fil des ans à faire dans la maison. Humidité à l’intérieur et nous avons dû faire rouler les airs climatisés à l’intérieur constamment. La chambre à l’étage n’était pas climatisée…pas très propre non plus…personne n’y a dormi.

Not enough space to write everything I need to. I booked 3 night stay with my 3 teenage daughters. I confirmed there was AC in the house, only to find a broken AC in the living room and 1/3 bedrooms with AC. All were supposed to have AC. I contacted owner, expressed disappointment. The owner then announced that she canceled rental demanded I leave, because I was not happy and should find somewhere else. Being evening time, with nowhere to go the owner insisted that I must depart and that if I did not I would be a squatter. I contacted VRBO and their representative said that it might be easier, given the owner’s attitude, if I left the property and they would help me find an alternative rental, which they would pay for. It was extremely difficult to find alternative accommodation, and I eventually went to a hotel room around midnight. It was a nightmare and VRBO was not helpful in this matter The reaction of the owner was uncalled for and unjustified. I subsequently learned that the owner told VRBO that a “Breach of house rules” was the reason for canceling the stay, which clearly was false. As for the house: it was fine, but I obviously didn’t stay long enough to truly know. But my warning is that you could be told to leave at anytime with this owner with no valid cause!

The house is run down but the living spaces are updated. Nice large TV. The kitchen is old, sink is new. Kitchen needs organizing and decluttering the drawers. There are things that need to be done in house. Master bed comfy, all other beds need foam toppers because the beds are cheap mattresses and hard. Remember your days at sleepover camp, yes mattresses are like that. The coffee table in living room needs wood piece screwed to table legs. We moved it so no one would get hurt. The owners are super flexible and let us check in a few hours early. We were given no key so house was open all the time. We wish there was toilet paper, only a half roll for 2 bathrooms. We wish there was soap in the bathrooms. The house seemed expensive to rent for what you get. Location is great though. Screen door needs to be fixed. Don’t go in basement, super musty. We do not recommend this house for mature adults that need good beds.

I don’t even know where to begin and I honestly wish I could post pictures. It was not that the property wasn’t “cleaned” between rentals it just has a layer of fifth that was unprecedented. The amount of sticky, compiled dust goo on the fans, floors, showers, windows, counters etc was absolutely disgusting. There were so many huge carpenter ants crawling on the counters. It was so gross. In addition, this place has a cockroach problem. They are in the cabinets and in the bedrooms. When we brought our belongings home, we emptied them in our garage so as to NOT bring them home. Sure enough there were 3 that we found in our bags!Eewww! The house has at least 20 pans all warped, dirty and covered in mouse poop. The dishes are much of the same. 2 of the 4 fans were unusable and the 1 of the air conditioning window units didn’t work at all. That huge upstairs “bunk” room you see online is unusable in the summer as it is so Oppresively hot that you cannot spend more than 2 minutes up there. The yard is piled with crap with an old refrigerator not in use that smelled and is actually illegal to have in every state in this nation outside as it is a death trap for a child. The bathroom had someone’s old hair ties and even a cup with some nasty liquid in it growing who knows what kind of bacteria. My husband spent an hour cleaning out the filter in the dishwasher as it had never been cleaned and all the dishes come out dirty. We were in town for a huge family wedding and did not have time to move 9 people and a tiny pup as we were busy with activities and trying to enjoy our visit. We did not cook there after the first day as it was just too disgusting. We changed our plans to host a family dinner, no one wanted to eat there! The owner is clearly a hoarder as every closet and cabinet was filled with old worn dollar store items that were literally unusable. The front hall closet was filled with toxic house paint piled upon gross God knows what. The tv in the master doesn’t work. It will not even turn on. I do not believe that this place should be rented out AT ALL. I am sure it’s a VRBO because NO REALTOR in there right mind would represent this Atrocious, Sad , Vile lame excuse for a house. This property is NOT maintained and you will feel like you need a really good shower after leaving it! Do Not rent this property. Trust me It is uninhabitable. The owner should be embarrassed how Disgusting it is YUCK!!! NOOOOOOOO!!!!

The house is on a corner lot, very easy to access. It's on a side street. So it's also very quiet. The beach is about 15-min walk. You can also walk to the restaurants on main street. The house has plenty of bed rooms and beds. The host is very responsive to queries and requests. We enjoyed the stay very much.

We enjoyed our stay. And communication with host was great. Upstairs area is great for small to adult children to gather and sleep. Very lovely spacious home new to rent. Tow lovely living rooms for gathering one with huge tv. Friendly neighborhood and dog friendly.
