In the afternoon of the 2nd day of our stay, we came back from a competition and found out there is no hot water in our room. I called the front desk and was told the boiler just broke and there might not be hot water until the next day or even two days later. I asked how I could take a shower. They told me they didn't know. I asked if the showers by the pool worked and they again they told me they didn't know but didn't offer to find out. They did not offer my any solutions. So I went downstairs to check the shower by the pool and it had not hot water either.
So I went to the front desk to ask if other rooms had hot water. They said they didn't know and would not find out. I asked why. They said because if they let me use another room with hot water, it would be considered dirty and they would not allow that. So I asked what the solution would be. The staff member again said they didn't know. One of them said it was beyond his "jurisdiction" to give me a discount. I said I had not got that far yet. I just needed to take a shower. "I am your guest. Is it too much to ask for a shower?"
I found the staff member more interested in talking back to me than finding a solution, which is disappointing.
Eventually I called a teammate who told me their room had hot water. So there were rooms with hot water and this was not an unsolvable problem. This really made me feel this hotel's staff failed at solving guest problems intentionally. Hence I would give 0 star if I could.
