Average

Check in Office locked. Had to ring a mobile phone to get anyone to reception to check in. Person stood up from behind reception counter Then an inquisition of whether I had a reservation or not. Room. Clean tidy. Beds ok. Pillows like imitation concrete blocks. Room suitable for 4 people. There were 3 adults staying on this occasion. Only 2 of plates. Cups. Knifes. Forks. Towels. etc in room. No bath mat or hand towels.

The rooms were a bit of a disappointment. The single bed wasn’t level. The rooms weren’t made up or even tidied. Average at best.

Not what it seems

I have emailed the owner to reply to the complaint received by the AV crew that I booked into this hotel (which was on the pricey side). I have not received a response which is completely unprofessional therefore I am posting the feedback in here: "Scott has asked me to let you know about the accommodation in Hamilton. The feedback we have had from our crew who have returned to work today is that it was definitely below standard. Some of the things they said were rooms not clean, they smelled of cigarette smoke even though you had booked them non-smoking rooms, in one of the units the toilet was almost falling through the floor, the beds were old and lumpy and sagged in middle, one of the units had stains on the wall and the spout on the tap would come off when taps turned on and sprayed water everywhere."

Dated motel in handy location

"Deluxe" spa room seemed really dated. It was tricky to figure out how to use heater. The couch that turns into a be was really cheapand ugly looking. However the location was good, I could walk down tthe road for a walk along the river.

Close to town

The room we stayed in was a good space and quit comfy. The spa bath and shower was lovely but just a few little things like the ceiling fan was hang out and couldn't look the door properly and tap made a loud sound when turned on but apart from those few little thing we enjoyed out stay.

Three night stay

The property is tired in some respects, however clean and comfortable and in the location we needed.. Limited linen in the bathroom, one towel each but was replaced daily. There was an issue with the shower running the hot water and getting a good pressure, You needed to run the water for a while. Tea/coffee not replenished daily, had to ask for milk each day. Not replaced. Handle on oven broken. We were given the wrong room on check in, that was remedied. The bed was comfortable and clean. Room was clean too. No issues there. Unfortunately the parking is very tight in the weekends.

Ok for short stays on a budget

We stayed for one night in February 2018. Our host was friendly on arrival, even though we interrupted him at dinner. Our room was dated but very clean. The towels that were supplied weren't matching, but were incredibly soft! We were surprised by how quiet the room was, considering we were next to the main road and the windows are only single glazed - we barely heard any traffic except a couple of extremely loud cars. The bed was comfortable and clean. There were a couple of things which let it down - there was no information in the room about either the business, or the local area, such as restaurants nearby etc. and when we went to check out just before 10am, the office was closed with a sign giving a cellphone number for urgent queries. We didn't know what to do with our key, so just left it in the room. There is definitely room for improvement, and the rooms could be updated quite easily, but it was OK.

One night only but quite comfortable

Were in Hamilton for one night only and seemed to have booked the last room available in town. While we were there at least four people were told that they were full as were all others we could see while heading into town. The room was comfortable enough but the ceiling fan wobbled around if not on full. The room was set up for three people but there were only dishes for two - cereal plate for one only. Otherwise no problem and we were quite comfortable. The man on reception was happy to come to the room to sort out how to use the TV for us and was unhappy the next morning to discover only the one plate. Evidently some rooms are bulk booked for groups and dishes get moved around by occupants but he was apologetic
