stayed at this hotel for 3 nights and overall had a very pleasant experience with some minor concerns
Front Desk – 8/10
Some staff were warm and welcoming, while others spoke with a straight face and felt less approachable. One staff member helped us book tickets to Jungfraujoch but made a mistake in the process; thankfully, I caught the error and he corrected it right away with an apology.
Breakfast – 10/10
Absolutely amazing! The variety and quality of food were outstanding, and everything was prepared with great care. Special mention to the omelette chef (Sept 2–5) — he was exceptionally friendly, sincere, and made delicious omelettes that set a wonderful tone for breakfast.
That said, I did notice that certain female staff seemed to serve only Caucasian travelers with coffee and omelettes while not extending the same service to others. It created an uncomfortable impression of inconsistency, and I also noticed another reviewer had raised a similar concern. I truly hope this was not intentional, but consistency in service would make all guests feel equally welcome.
Housekeeping – 10/10
Although we chose not to have our room cleaned during our stay, whenever staff delivered drinks or tissue paper, they were extremely polite and friendly. Excellent service.
Spa – 8/10
The spa design felt a bit inconvenient. To use the sauna versus the hot tub, I had to repeatedly change in and out of swimwear, which disrupted the experience. Also, the “naked rules” in the sauna areas
