All-Season Modern Cottage on Red Lake - 45 min from Green Bay

This modern cottage was made to help you rest and fully enjoy a getaway. Located on 1.5 acres of land you will enjoy lake frontages, two docks, campfires, fishing, a spacious yard, a canoe, a swim raft, a paddle boat, beautiful sunsets over the lake and a very homey cottage. This place is designed for you to enjoy by yourself or with your family/friends. It is equipped with a bathroom (toilet, double headed shower, washer/dryer) and a full kitchen (fridge/freezer, gas stove and oven, microwave, coffee maker, toaster oven, toaster, dishwasher, dishes/cutlery/cooking utensils and equipment). The cottage features 3 bedrooms, a lake-facing sunroom (including a hideaway sofa bed), as well as a loft (has a lower ceiling) with additional sleeping spaces. Cozy up to a wood-burning fireplace (or furnace) in the colder months, or escape the summer heat with the A/C.

The cottage is on Red Lake. The lake can get weedy in the summer, however it is 1 mile from the Red river where there is local fishing, swimming, tube-floating and kayaking. Visit local shops and eateries in Gresham or take a short drive to Shawano for local culture, food and excursions.

Gilmer Falls- Beautiful rapids, swimming area and rope swing.

*For larger groups, a separate bunk house is available for rent in the spring - summer - fall months. The bunkhouse has a queen and twin bed in each of 2 bedrooms (sleeps 6+) but no running water or bathroom within the bunkhouse building. Contact the host if you are interested in this add-on.

Good. Might think about power washing the outside and remove the spider webs from the door ways. Deck has a loose section at the end closes to the house. Almost leaned to hard on it. I would go back again.

This was a fun place for our group of 14 - plenty of space to spread out, great kitchen for cooking meals together and a quiet property so kids could sleep and adults could use the fire pit into the night. The lake is not great for swimming, but nearby there are a few good options that the host suggested. Would definitely stay again :)

Amazing cabin with over the top cuteness, beautiful views of lake ( not really swimable in Aug) over all amazing weekend with lots of fun things to do right at the cabin. Board games, paddle boat, beautiful lawn for yard games.

We had a great girls weekend! We especially enjoyed the well stocked game cabinet, the sunroom, the fireplace, and watching sunsets from the dock. Great location walking distance to Gresham and a quick drive to the cute shops in Shawano.

Beautiful Place!

The check-in process was smooth and the host was kind, professional, and super easy to contact. This was my first time renting from VRBO and the host made it easy and less stressful. The cabin itself was easy to find and beautiful. I was really impressed with the kitchen supplies available. They even had charcuterie knives which was obscure and really handy.Lots of game options in the game cabinet. And the front three season room was absolutely beautiful. The main reason I chose this cabin was the wonderful LONG table. Perfect for puzzling, gaming, and just spending time together. Overall, I enjoyed my stay! Thank you!!

Weekend Celebration

The house was so cute and absolutely perfect for our needs. Ben has the house well stocked with everything you need for cooking, and for hanging out outside for a relaxing weekend. The communication with Ben was fantastic. We ran into a couple of smaller issues with the house but Ben went above and beyond with doing what he could to correct the problems. It is definitely a place I would stay again.

Great location, easy check-in, responsive host

Generally great with a couple of nits for those traveling with infants and toddlers. One was on cleanliness - had some dust around beds that we needed to proactively vacuum (there was one provided) given our younger son is very exploratory, and we observed some mold in the washing machine as well. Second is that the spiral staircase is slightly hazardous for young kids who may be able to slip between balusters. But otherwise, location is beautiful and we enjoyed our stay.

Worth the trip

The property was definitely a 5 star and above! Beautiful cottage with every amenities that we needed for our group. Our family enjoyed every moment on the lake. The owner was super helpful and made our stay so welcoming! We will definitely book again for our family vacation next year! Awesome place!
