"Always very well looked after by the team here and this year was no differet. The rooms are nice and spaciouis and the high quality bed linen/towels etc. make is to much more pleasant. Restaurant menu is a bit more curtailed than my last visit, but that is commonplace everywhere I believe - still a decent variety of options."

"Having spent years staying in National chain hotels this pub was exceptional & a breath of fresh air. Friendly helpful staff, comfortable bed & clean on suite rooms. Breakfast was probably the best freshly cooked that I've ever had. 5* for me. I would definitely recommend."

"Beautiful old building, the staff were all lovely, friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent, parking at the front but also a good sized car park at the rear. Nice decor throughout. The bed was comfy but I felt the room was rather small and perhaps updating but I would certainly stay again when I'm next in the area "

"Very helpful and friendly staff. Excellent food. However my main concern was the lack of air conditioning on the top floor. Unfortunately it seems to be the lot of the solo traveller that you get stuck on the top floor ( I have had this in other hotels) where it is usually hot and stuffy. Too much noise on the road outside ( boy racers and revellers) to keep the windows open. Shame because otherwise I liked the hotel."

"Nice spacious, airy and tastefully decorated room with all the necessary accessories and features. The service was excellent and friendly. The setting, with a beautiful view of Penzance and the harbour from the breakfast room, was particularly good. The swimming pool set in lovely semi-tropical gardens was a real joy to be in. "The property was very well maintained clean and comfortable. Parking was just up the road where there was plenty of room at the side of the road. The owners were very friendly and welcoming. The POD was great for a couple of nights but wouldn't have been suitable for a longer stay due to its size. The POD is in the owners garden. It was a 20 minute walk from St. Ives Harbour but there was a bus stop a short walk away."

"Room view is excellent but room 301 is so hot that I found difficult to fall asleep. It is better if I cant open the window wider and let cool and fresh air into the room to decrease the room tempereture and increase the comfort of residents."
