2/10, Horrible

The front-end staff was amazing polite, and tried to accomodate us. I actually felt bad for leaving because she was so sweet.
We checked in and went to our room. It had a terrible strong odor that gave my husband a headache and made myself nauseous. The walls were so thin we could hear the people in the room next to us clear as day.
The beds were evidently saggy; they had a curve to the top of them you could see with your plain eyes, and were equally as uncomfortable when we laid on them. We went for dinner and decided we would take the loss and book another hotel as I have back issues and can't sleep on hard, uncomfortable beds.
I think this hotel has potential, but it needs some serious renovations as it is older and it shows. I would figure out what that horrible strong odor is on the main floor for sure, as that's where we stayed. I assume it's the carpet. Make the walls a little more soundproof, update the bedding so it doesn't sound like crinkly paper every time you move, and upgrade the beds and pillows. Everything else was okay. Oh, and randomly, the remote for the TV only works if you're standing 2 feet from the TV. That's a minor inconvenience but still should be looked at.
Definitely needs some hard renovations. Until then I would not recommend staying here.
