Welcome to the Thompson Family Lake House, your luxury home away from home. Just a quick golf cart ride to Patti's and all the downtown Grand Rivers fun, this home will be your favorite relaxation spot for years to come. This spacious, fully-furnished, and tastefully decorated home has all the beds you need for your entire family to have a great night's sleep! With over 3600 square feet of living space, 5 bedrooms and 4 baths, 13 beds, newly remodeled with a fully stocked kitchen, tons of outdoor living space, and a game room, your family will be making precious memories to last a lifetime!

The master bedroom has a king size bed and private bathroom with shower and soaker tub (sleeps 2). Bedroom 2 has a queen bed and a treehouse style bunk bed (sleeps 4, 2 adults, 2 children). Bedroom 3 has two sets of bunks beds with one trundle (sleeps 5 children). Bedroom 4 has a king bed and a twin bed as well as a portable crib (sleeps 3 plus a toddler). Additional hallway bathrooms (full baths) are located in both the hallway upstairs and downstairs. Bedroom 5 is located in a private detached in-law suite with a second living room, second kitchen, and a large master with a queen bed, a twin bed, as well as a portable crib (sleeps 3 plus toddler). This property sleeps 17 plus portable crib for a baby/toddler. Bunk beds are rated for 100 pounds or less.

A game room awaits you! Enjoy the pool table as well as lots of board and card games. Amenities include wifi, multiple LARGE flat screen smart TVs, a washer and dryer, a large selection of DVDs, a corn hole set, a fire pit area, a gas grill, portable crib, lots of board games, and portable high-chair. Enjoy dinner on the large deck outside the dining area. The well-stocked kitchen includes basic cooking spices, a slow-drip coffee maker as well as a Keurig, and all the cookware that will have your family staying in for the evening. A second kitchen is available in the detached in-law suite. Three refrigerators on the property make it easy to keep all your food and drinks chilled and ready. Charge your phone easily with bedside table lamps that include charging ports or plugs.

The Thompson Family Lake House is located a little over a mile from Patti's, and about a mile from Green Turtle Bay, Badgett Playhouse, The Village Market, Little Lake Park and Playground, The Jetty, Craig's Dairy Dream, golf cart rentals, fishing, shopping and lots of downtown Grand Rivers fun! It is a 2-3 minute drive to the marinas.

Grand Rivers is close to the northern entrance of Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area, which includes a Bison Prairie, planetarium, homeplace 1850s working farm, and living history museum. Venture River Water Park is located a short distance away in Eddyville. Kentucky Shores Family Fun Center has zip lines, go carts, bumper boats, laser tag, a rock wall, and more family fun. The Thompson Family Lake House is a convenient distance to it all! Come and make some memories!

Very clean and large home. Two living areas so kids could watch TV downstairs while adults visited upstairs. Bathrooms upstairs are a bit awkward but very serviceable. We enjoyed the stay.

Clean, good kitchen and supplied well. Bedding was good and arranged well. Hostess responded quickly. The negatives were a rocking chair that the arms were about to come off, which made it dangerous to sit in. The foosball table had 2 legs about to fall off. The pool at one the felt was loose and the pool sticks were absolutely terrible, they did not have complete tips

The house and detached guest house were very nice. There were a few places that were not super clean, but all in all, very good. The grill was not working and the propane tank was replaced the night we arrived. The grill needs replacing, but it did end up working ok. The location is close to town and we enjoyed walking around Patti’s and the shops. We had a wonderful time with three generations under one roof.

Loved the house and the annex. My family of 14 (7 adults and 7 children) had a great time. Kids enjoyed the stay so much. House suited our needs and it was closed to everything we wanted to do. Hosts are fantastic.

We had a wonderful stay and really enjoyed the property. We found everything to be clean and organized and the check in and check out procedures were very easy. The location was great and really close to Pattis and LBL which we enjoyed. The couches were comfortable and the king beds were very soft and comfortable. The queen beds and twin beds weren’t as comfortable. The bunk bed mattresses were hard for the adults to sleep on and the plastic mattress protectors were noisy when anyone moved around. This would probably be fine for children but was harder for adult women to sleep on. I’m not sure this has to be a deterrent but if you have adults with back problems, they might prefer the couch or to bring an air mattress instead. There is plenty of space for air mattresses. We enjoyed the pool table and all the outdoor and indoor seating options. Overall we were very happy with our stay except a few of us didn’t get as restful of a nights sleep because of the bunk beds. If we could find a way for the twin bunk beds to be more accommodating for adults that would be even better for our size group.

We had a wonderful time at the Thompson's Lake House. The house is just as shown in the photos. We stayed there with our three children, their spouses and their 7 children. Each family enjoyed having their own space and bathroom. There are many great restaurants close and we were able to pick up food and eat at the house which was easier for the small children. You are close to the lake and not far from Benton. Jeremy and Megan were very responsive to communication. We had a small problem with the water (NOT the owners fault), but it was fixed in just a few hours while we took the children to nearby Mike Miller park to play. Our entire family said they would definitely like to come back to this house again.

Property was very clean and well decorated . They had Everything and more than we needed . Very homey. I gave the ‘location’ 4 stars only because we have some walkers and hikers and there was not really a place to walk. But otherwise location was great - close to everything. Not a big problem as an easy drive to numerous trails and hiking sties. I would highly recommend this house . Plenty of games on site for all to enjoy.

First of all, it’s hard to find somewhere locally for 17 people to celebrate a few days together during Christmas vacation, so we were happy to give this property a try. Communication was FABULOUS! The owner/property manager was always so prompt in answering any questions I had before and during the stay. The property had adequate sleeping accommodations for all of us, but the house is kind of chopped up which made it difficult to watch kids etc. The staircase at the bottom to the basement has no railing and one child fell off it. Things are a little worn with some stains, but clean enough. The road to the house is uphill and the driveway is up hill. Since there had been snow and ice none of it had been plowed or shoveled which made it extremely difficult to access. We slid down the hill and driveway several times before successfully making it up the driveway.
