About this space
Welcome to Belmont House! This grand, historic home dates from the mid-1800s and is located on a hillside overlooking the settlement of Governor's Harbour. It has been restored to retain its original elegance while enjoying modern luxuries and conveniences. This spacious home features contemporary and custom-built furnishings, hardwood floors, and high ceilings throughout.

Belmont's façade is dominated by its grand two-story veranda looking out across the harbour.

The space
The upstairs level at Belmont House features two large bedrooms, each with ocean views and direct access to the veranda, and two large en-suite bathrooms. One bedroom has a king bed, and the other has two twins which can easily convert to a second king on request.

Relax with a cocktail or glass of wine on the grand veranda and enjoy a spectacular, 50 mile, 180-degree ocean, and sunset view.

On the ground floor, Belmont features a large living room and a spacious dining room with seating for eight. The modern, airy, peninsula kitchen is fully equipped with stainless steel appliances including a refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, and Bosch oven.

There is a full bathroom, with a washer and dryer included, also located on this level. Enjoy outdoor dining on the veranda, with garden and ocean views.

Amenities at Belmont House include flat-screen cable TV, air conditioning, wireless internet (WiFi), Bluetooth speaker, complimentary toiletries, and off-street parking.

Perfect for families, Belmont House is the main of three properties on this private estate, along with Belmont Cottage and Belmont Junior Cottage. All houses can be rented separately, or together.

At Squires Estate, your well-being is our top priority. We are taking the Covid-19 virus very seriously and want to ensure your comfort and safety when booking any one of our properties. We are disinfecting all hard surfaces with approved cleaning agents between stays as we have always done. We are happy to facilitate a seamless, and contact-less check-in should you require this, and can also arrange for provisions to be delivered to your rental ahead of your arrival and assist with any other requests that may arise.

Belmont House is amazing! The house was appointed with all the essentials, centrally located (Coco + Cream was a highlight for our children), close to gorgeous beaches, quiet, and the list goes on. We will definitely be back.

The house is spacious with plenty of room. The kitchen is updated nicely and easy to cook in. There is not an outdoor grill. The pool looks nicer than in reality and is cold, so okay for a dip but not to lounge in. The noise was not bad at all, but the issue with being in Governors Harbor is that it is not a walk-able community and there are nice houses, like this one, right next to shacks and abandoned buildings. The people are nice, otherwise it would feel unsafe. There was some un-easiness at night and nightfall started at 5:30pm in November.

Fantastic Overall Experience

We've traveled to Eleuthera many times over the last 20 years. We wanted the "in town" experience this time, having stayed at more remote properties in various areas on previous trips. We found this spot in the estate in Governor's to feel lively, and yet still quite peaceful. The view from the 2nd level veranda is unmatched. It was a very quick drive to some of the most beautiful beaches in the area, and having restaurants and shops within walking distance was a fun treat for our family throughout the stay. The pool is gorgeous and provided the fresh respite we crave at the end of long beach/snorkeling days. The house is very well-equipped and its overall appointment in terms of amenities and service exceeded our expectations. The property managers take great pride in their work and this is evident in every little detail. Thank you for a great stay.

7 days was to short !

It was absolutely amazing. Perfect location and views to die for. Being centrally located on the island we were able to explore the whole island from Lighthouse Point to Spanish Wells and every beach in between. Joy and Dominic meet us at the house and welcomed us with open arms. The heads up email provide earlier helped a-lot with planning all of our activities. Everyone in town were very friendly and helpful as expected, cannot wait for my next return. My wife and teen daughters were skeptical at first but turned out to be their greatest vacation ever.

Wonderful stay.

Property was exactly as pictured. Pristine,quiet location. Pool was beautiful & soothing. Close to resturants, beaches, etc. Joy was very responsive prior to visit & when we arrived in giving us helpful tips, suggestions. Will definitely recommend to others & hope to return sometime in future.

Best vacay ever

The house is amazing. Joy is a joy to work with. She will respond within minutes. Her suggestions for places to go were spot on. One big tip... bring ear plugs and a white noise generator or app. Every village in the islands has roosters who will wake you up VERY early. One week was not enough. We will be back!
