(except for a moo from a cow maybe)

*THE FARM*

POND: The stocked pond on the farm is available for catch-and-release fishing (there may be a few poles at the house or bring your own) and swimming. (at your own risk)

CREEK: feel free to explore!

FIELDS: The field behind the home to the tree line is yours to explore. You may on occasion see a farmer coming up the driveway or working in the field.

Due to its remote location, there are a few things to keep in mind:

*The WIFI works well, but it is not quite strong enough for consistent streaming. We recommend downloading anything you'd like to watch ahead of time, casting from your phone, etc.

*Cell phones will work well when connected to the wifi.

*We promise to resolve any unforeseen maintenance issues that may arise as quickly as possible, but ask for your flexibility in understanding the limitations to being a rural location.

CLIMATE CONTROL: central heat and air

PARKING: there is plenty of parking on the gravel driveway for vehicles of all sizes (boats, RV's, etc.)

CHECK IN: Guests check in with a personalized code anytime after 4pm.

MOBILITY: For any guests with mobility issues, there is a side door that can be used to eliminate any steps into the home.

PETS: We allow up to 2 well-behaved dogs per stay for an additional $100 fee per dog. Here are the requirements:

Dogs must be up to date on flea & tick treatments (proof provided upon request)

Dogs are not allowed on the furniture

Dogs will be crated when owners are not present

GUESTS WILL HAVE USE OF THE ENTIRE HOME! You are likely to see a farm worker on the driveway or in the field on occasion, but the farmhouse will be yours.

• Virginia Safari Park (35 min)
• Thomas Jefferson's Poplar Forest (35 min)
• Historic downtown Lynchburg (grab dinner, visit a brewery, or catch a show at the Academy of Fine Arts: 30 min)
• Appomattox Courthouse (1 hour)
• Liberty University's Snowflex Center (year-round skiing & tubing: 35 min)
• Smith Mountain Lake (1 hour)
