We stayed nearly a week in October 2022 for a birthday getaway. The location itself was great and served as the perfect home base for a couple day trips to Eureka Springs AR and a day at Silver Dollar City. It’s a bit of a drive to SDC, but the trade-off for this lovely home was certainly worth it.
From my first interaction with Travis (our host) to the day we left, I couldn't have asked for a better trip. Communication was great and the home was exactly as described/pictured. There was a small hiccup with the Wi-fi being down (they were waiting on CenturyLink to fix), but it didn’t really bother us. We have unlimited data on our cell phones, and for all but one day, we had excellent service coverage (AT&T, if you’d like to know). That did mean we couldn’t use the smart TVs for Netflix or whatever, but it wasn’t a big deal for us. We found a couple programs to watch on Dish when we wanted a short break, but honestly…with gorgeous natural surroundings like this, who wants to watch TV all day?
This cozy cabin home is absolutely beautiful! The decoration is very tastefully done, exuding a luxury country vibe. Although it was just my husband and I, there would have been room for a half dozen more people with plenty of room to spread out and have space when desired. The bed was very comfortable with sheets so soft i wanted to take them home! We enjoyed watching TV on the leather couches and playing games at the beautiful dining room table. We had everything we needed to cook meals in the kitchen and my husband even grilled us some steaks. It's easy to feel "at home" in this cabin!
The neighborhood is quiet, but you saw neighbors on golf carts a couple times a day, so you never felt too secluded. The surroundings were so tranquil and perfect for nature lovers. My husband saw a hawk's nest (maybe an eagle's nest?) in a nearby tree and we saw deer every night. There's just a short walk to the chairs down by the lake, and you must do it! Sitting there in the morning, or really any time of day, is so relaxing and peaceful. Unfortunately, we were under red flag warnings all week, so we didn’t get to try out the firepit, but that would be a great evening activity as well. We didn't want to leave, and certainly plan to stay again soon when we have a chance.
