The setting is out of a storybook, with a picturesque landscape, cabins and shops including antiques, pottery, home decor, a cafe, a florist, a bakery and a restaurant, all within a very short walk. There is a community arbor, a park (great for wedding venues), old mining trails, and a donkey right next store! Step back in time and enjoy the original gold mining town of Gold Hill, NC!

Perfect location for visiting our retired friends who recently moved from the northeast. The fireball popcorn was a great housewarming gift! Disappeared rapidly. We will be back again when we visit our friends in the future.

We selected the apartment since it was in the country and would make us feel at home. The space was all we needed as we attended an event in Denton and explored Gold Hill. We enjoyed being able to walk around the town, do some shopping, met a few locals and had a comfortable place to stay. The visiting hummingbirds on the front porch/deck of the apartment were a joy to watch. The owners made us feel very welcome and were available to us if needed.

Lovely place. Fun little town and nice park for walks across the street. It has stairs, so if you have mobility issues, it may be a problem. We loved the privacy and the area. I will definitely come back.

Weekend Stay in Gold Hill

We opted to stay at this location for a wedding that we had nearby. Check in was smooth and the property was extremely clean with the hosts being gracious and nice. Will 100% stay here for a weekend getaway again!

Great Host, Lovely Town

We had a minor issue coordinating our arrival, and the hosts went above and beyond to ensure it wouldn't impact our vacation. I really can't say enough positive things about them and the effort they put in to make sure everything went smoothly for us. Gold Hill is a beautiful town with a lot of history, and this location puts you in the heart of the historic mining area. I'll be looking at this property again next time I visit.

Girl’s weekend!

This place checks all the boxes! It was an absolute perfect stay. It was a little hard to find late in the evening, but once we found it, we loved it! It’s quiet and tucked away. Perfect place to get lost from the outside world. I’m already making plans for a return trip! Highly recommend!

Storybook Setting

I can't recommend this rental enough. Dana was amazing to work with and very responsive to the couple of hiccups we had. The village is so cute and feels like a setting in a Hallmark movie. And then there's the local history. So much history!
