Relax in this totally renovated 100+ year historic home with
private patio overlooking the Paluxy River. The living, dining, and new gourmet kitchen open onto a deck and patio that leads to a private deck on the river. You will be in the middle of the historic Glen Rose area enjoying this quaint small town with restaurants, shops, music, and a river walk.

The Barnard River House is minutes from Fossil Rim, The Promise, The State Park, Squaw Valley Golf Course, Hiking and Biking trails.

    The location of the home was perfect, so close to downtown and a 5-10 minute drive to the outdoor activities on our itinerary--Dinosaur Valley State Park, Fossil Rim and Dinosaur World. The peaceful and well-maintained backyard with right-on-the-river views was perfect for relaxing after our busy days. Our only regret was that we didn't book at least one more day.

    What a wonderful place to stay! My husband and I enjoyed a two night visit without young adult children who loved floating the Peluxy River right off the back patio.     Great Little House

    We visited Glen Rose this past weekend with our infant, 6 year old, and 14 year old. My parents popped in also (in their 70s) and we all LOVED the house. The location is so close to town, Big Rocks, Dinosaur Valley State Park, Fossil Rim, and cute downtown restaurants. We loved the patio on the water and the ability to fish. We look forward to coming again in the fall. Thank you for a wonderful weekend.

    Wonderful Stay!

    This was such a great experience for my family! We stayed for spring break and got to enjoy everything Glen Rose had to offer with being so centrally located to everything. This place was so clean and the backyard was gorgeous! We got to fish from the edge. Thanks for a great stay!

    Beautiful cottage on the Puluxy River! So well-appointed and welcoming. Outdoor area is stunning with patio right on the water and another close to house in the huge backyard. Five minutes from the square.

    Hidden Gem in Glen Rose

    Our family came to Glen Rose to explore Dinosaur Valley State Park, and this property could not have been better situated for that. The park is only a 10 minute drive away, and restaurants and shops are within walking distance The riverside cottage is well appointed, clean, and comfortable. The only downside is the traffic noise from the road, but we were so tired from our day of hiking, that didn't really matter! Thank you for a wonderful stay.

    Our family had a fantastic time The river was beautiful and the yard was wonderful. The house was very spacious and the beds and pillows were exceptional. The only negative was that the housekeeper did not sweep floors or dust anything. The host was very friendly and available.

    Wedding Stay

    The property is very well kept. The house is precious, spacious and clean. The lighting is amazing. If I had to put any negative it would be the noise from the light traffic in front of the house, the front room could hear the cars going by during the night. But it was manageable. Great place - would stay again in a heartbeat!! Thank you for everything!!
