Holiday house in Gleisweiler with a fantastic view over the Rhine plain

Welcome to the "Old Forge of Gleisweiler", built in 1738.
We tried to preserve and emphasize the charm of the old half-timbered house, also as part of our extensive renovation work (in autumn / winter 2017).

A newly renovated holiday home is rented in the beautiful Gleisweiler "Palatinate Nice" in the southwestern Palatinate.
The place with the most hours of sunshine in Germany.

82 sqm (ground floor 33 sqm + first floor 49 sqm) of living space are rented plus a 33 sqm terrace.

There are 2 bedrooms on the ground floor.
A large bedroom with a double bed (180 x 200)
and a small bedroom with a double bed (140 x 200).

On the first floor you will find a spacious, newly furnished living room with access to the terrace. The terrace offers a fantastic view over the Rhine plain and invites you to relax and linger.

On the upper floor there is the completely renewed bathroom (shower, toilet and sink) as well as the fully equipped new kitchen (dishwasher, ceramic hob, oven with convection, fridge with separate ice compartment, microwave and Tchibo Caffissimo coffee machine).

The cozy beautiful "Palatinate Nice" is definitely worth a visit !!!!

Our house was classified with **** stars by the German Tourism Association in July 2018.

Die FeWo ist meiner Meinung geeignet für 2 Erwachsene plus 2 Kinder, oder 3 Erwachsene, 1 Schlafzimmer im EG Bett 1,40m, ohne zu öffnendes Fenster, 1 Schlafzimmer im EG, Bett 160 cm, Wohn-Eßraum sehr schön im OG, ebenso die gut ausgestattete Küche und das sehr kleine Duschbad. Große Dachterrasse mit super Aussicht. Treppe sehr steil, nicht für Gehbehinderte geeignet. Insgesamt eine schöne FeWo.

Zum Wohlfühlen

Wie die Besitzer es selber schon beschreiben, ist das Haus wohlgelegen, mit wunderschöner Dachterrasse und Blick über die Rheinebene, mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet und vollständig ausgestattet (bis auf leider fehlende Sitz- bzw. Liegenauflagen). Aber: Ein fehlender Parkplatz - ganz schlecht bei der allgemeinen Parksituation in Gleisweiler. Der Ort gestaltet sich in diesem Punkt als ausgesprochen touristenunfreundlich - wofür die Besitzer nun allerdings nichts können.

Clean and tidy house at beautiful location

When arriving, we were pleasantly surprised that the surroundings of the house were even more beautiful than the photos suggested. Indeed sitting outside on the terrace provides great views of the surroundings, which include wooded hills, a typical German village, and the wide vineyards of the Pfalz region. The owner gave clear instructions for checking in beforehand, the house is well-equiped, clean and the beds were good. Overall we were very satisfied with this accomodation.

Tolles Haus in einer traumhaften Umgebung!

Tolle Woche in der wunderschönen Pfalz

Insgesamt haben wir uns ausgesprochen wohl gefühlt. Das Ferienhaus besticht durch seine große Dachterrasse mit tollem Ausblick. Die Küche ist gut ausgestattet und auch ansonsten gibt es nichts zu bemängeln. Lediglich einen kleinen Verbesserungsvorschlag hätten wir. Im großen Schlafraum fehlt eine Möglichkeit, Kleidung abzulegen und die Federoberbetten sind sehr schwer. Wir würden jederzeit gerne wiederkommen.

Schönes Ferienhaus mit toller Lage.

Schönes Ferienhaus mit toller Dachterasse und spektakulärem Blick bis in den Odenwald. Die gehobene Ausstattung der Räume machen den Verbleib in dem Ferienhaus zu einer sehr angenehmen Zeit.

Schönes Ambiente

Unser Aufenthalt in der Alten Schmiede in Gleisweiler war sehr schön. Wir wurden herzlich empfangen, die Unterkunft ist für uns mit zwei kleinen Kindern super ausgestattet gewesen und bot genügend Komfort für alle. Wir konnten unseren Urlaub nicht zuletzt deshalb wunderbar genießen!

Alte Schmiede in Gleisweiler - sehr empfehlenswert!

Die Alte Schmiede in Gleisweiler ist sehr schön eingerichtet und mit allem ausgestattet, was das Herz begehrt. Die Betten sind sehr bequem (tolle Matratzen). Es gab absolut nichts zu beanstanden. Schmuckstück ist die riesige Dachterrasse mit dem herrlichen Ausblick über die Rheinebene! Hier lässt sich so manch lauschiger Abend bei einem Glas Wein genießen.
