    This property is minutes from the Ohio river! In less than 10 Minutes you could be crossing the river and visiting the Belterra Casino/ and golf course resort. In as little as 45 minutes, you could be visiting the Ark Encounter or the Creation Museum.
    If you like horses, you can visit Turfway Park in Florence KY.
    Or just stay on the 14 private acres and enjoy the views pool side and have fun in the game room. You could also take a walk on the property down to the pond.
    At night you can sit around the campfire and see hundreds of stars or watch fireflies light up the sky like fireworks.
    One thing is for sure, you will enjoy your time at the cabin as much as your visits to the surrounding attractions.
    If you're not an outdoors person, just enjoy the cabin sitting next to the fireplace playing games with family or watching one of the 4 TV's. Great place!!! My husband and I met up with friends and this place was awesome! Private and pretty! The pool is nice and big, the decks furniture are comfortable, and inside is nice & comfortable, also. A better photo of the property once you get to the top of the drive would be nice. We weren’t sure we were at the right place! Lol! Be prepared for steps! Looking forward to going back and taking our adult kids and their spouses!

Don’t believe some of the negative reviews- this place is a gem! I was worried after reading past complaints, but our experience was fantastic! Some reviews mentioned wasps and hornets, but this is a cabin on 14 acres of rural land; outdoor insects are normal. It didn’t stop four women from enjoying the porch completely sting-free. The cabin is well-maintained, cozy, and rustic. It rained our entire trip, so we missed out on using the huge pool, but the host’s quick responses and helpful attitude made up for it. We highly recommend this place!

Overall the trip was great. We went to the ark and creation museum. The pool and game room were the kids favorite part. We loved cooking in the big kitchen and sitting down for breakfast and dinner every day. Only problem we had were the paper wasps. They have a few nests on the front porch so we weren't able to sit on the porch swing like we wanted to. We did have a wasp or two in the cabin each day we were there. My son and husband both got stung just walking out the front door on our second night there. Good news nearest ER is only 20mins away. We did inform the host and they got back to us right away. Also in the pictures it says sauna, they do not have one. We loved the stay other then the wasps.

Nice place to just relax

Cabin was roomy and had lots of things to keep our group entertained. We enjoyed our stay and will be visiting this property again.

We enjoyed our stay. The property would be great for a big family stay. It was just us 4 and we all slept upstairs. I don’t have any complaints but we wish the pond was without algae and moss. Thanks for a great weekend!

We were a little disappointed in our stay that we left a night early. The cabin itself was nice but could have been much cleaner. The floors around furniture were extremely dusty with a lot of debris under. Was difficult to sit outside with all of the hornets, wasps and bees flying everywhere nonstop. The pool was extremely murky. Could not even see the second step. We understand there was a storm that blew through the night before but the bottom was covered in sand, like the filter was back firing into the water and you could tell it had been dead algae for quite some time. The pond was essentially unusable unlike what is advertised. Could not get down to it easily and once down there, there was no where to fish or stand near it. Covered in moss and way over grown. This was a big part of our trip planned there so we were very disappointed. Arcade games were broken. Most were unusable. Thankfully we had aluminum tins to use on the grill, as the cooking surface was rusted and melted.

Great secluded location with an awesome large pool! We had a blast and would highly recommend. I do think a pull out couch or something on the landing at the top of the stairs, or even in the basement, would be a nice addition for more sleeping space.

Family Vacation 2023

The property was as advertised and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. The little touches of snacks waiting for the kids and adding a blender to the appliances was really appreciated. We were able to visit the Creation Museum and the Ark Encounter as well as the stop on the Bourbon trail and one of the state parks. The family really enjoyed the pool.

Good situation but needs maintenance

This is a nice private property. Upon arrival though you walk up to a tall porch that is all open underneath and looks pretty bad. There is junk under it and not manicured at all. The steps up to the front porch are steep and the stairs themselves are very narrow as well. Nice swing and rockers on the porch.The kitchen was nice met our needs.

River Cabin

Beautiful cabin!! We had our 7 kids and had more than enough room. The pool, games room, and fishing pond are all wonderful. Secluded but close enough to get what you need. Beautiful drive along river to Madison and Carrollton. Would definitely stay again!!

Family vacation

Our family had a lot of fun playing volleyball in the pool. We enjoyed the games in the basement, but some of them didn’t work right or cost money. We loved seeing rabbits play in the yard and even spotted some deer. We would have loved to fish in the pond but it was totally algae covered and had very limited access for fishing. Overall our family had a great time being together at this house with it’s quiet and peaceful setting.

Cozy Cabin

We had a great time renting this cabin in rural Kentucky. They had a well stocked kitchen, that could use some cookie sheets, excellent table games for the kids in the basement. They really enjoyed the air hockey table. Very comfortable rooms and a lovely gathering area. The host was very accommodating when we had a small issue and very easy to communicate with. Overall it was a great stay. Thanks again!

Nice family vacation

This was our first visit to Kentucky. This was a great place for our family between visits to the Ark Encounter, Creation Museum, and Mammoth Caves. The house is on a large property with plenty of distance from neighbors and is well equipped for cooking for the family and playing games inside and out. We observed carpenter bees and woodpeckers boring into the house timbers, which did not inhibit our stay but made for some interesting noises and wood shavings.

Beautiful and quite home

We loved the location as we wanted to be away from everything. The house has a great layout and was very clean. We really enjoyed the pool and game room. We didn’t have much luck at the pond fishing but enjoyed the challenge. Our only negative thing would be the pond needs to be treated but everything else about this location is perfect and very reasonably priced. The owners are great to work with and we highly recommend this property.

Weekend with friends

We enjoyed our stay. The location was good, the cleanliness could have been better. The floors may have been dusted but not mopped. We could tell by the bottoms of our socks. We understand farm life, but we felt it could have been better.

45 minutes from ark encounter and aquarium

home was very adequate for us (4 adults + 3 teenagers) - just a few small things that the property manager fixed the second day (tv remotes did not all work and fireplace heat for home did not stay on with thermostat control) also wish we could have used the pool but not open for the season yet - enjoyed the game room in basement for the boys .. overall a wonderful setting away from the neighbors and just a short (winding KY road) to everything we needed :)

Sophia's 5th birthday.

Property has a great peaceful feel. Was no way any one could take pictures as one review said they did. Dont let them scare u away. There was no one able to see the home where it sets. Pool was warm and the girls loved it. Was my granddaughters 5th birthday so i took 4 generations of family and her best friend. We all had a great time swimming. I would definitely stay again if its a little cheaper. But well worth the money for the memories made.

Perception

It sounds like a GREAT place to getaway from the listing. We hadn’t been there 45 minutes and neighbors were taking pictures of us. Absolutely NO privacy. Fishing pond covered in Algae. No fenced in area. Safety wise there are screws sticking out the handrails on the outside stairs. Great Concept just needs work & the neighbors put in check.
