"Room is a dream. I asked ahead of time for my "queen great view" to face downtown. Lobby people were friendly helping me get checked in early and got me a room with a clear view of the one world trade center. Location was #1 for me. Area is super convenient being between downtown and midtown. All of the surrounding neighborhoods have a distinct personality. You can walk for 30 minutes in any direction and anywhere you land will be lively. F train is around the corner from the hotel. It made...

"I was unsure of the hotel because of all the poor reviews, but I was very pleasantly surprised! A/C worked so well that I had to turn it off a couple times, the room was very clean and spacious, the bed was comfy, and the staff was kind enough to hold my luggage for me while I waited for my ride. "The hotel is older but I really liked the style of it. The price for the location is great. Desk staff were wonderful. We had a room with one king bed and the size was good, room was comfortable and the window AC unit kept up with the 37 degree heat. Not a good hotel if you are planning to have a lot of meals in your room - no fridges/microwaves. We were only there for a few nights so this was not a problem. I will stay here again if I am back in NYC."

"My husband and I stayed at the Ameritania for our 20th wedding anniversary. The staff was very accommodating and they upgraded our room as a lovely gift! The king size room was amazing! And although an older hotel, the facilities were very comfortable. We were also very happy and grateful for the complimentary water and coffee station in the lobby every morning. 👍👍"

"Hotel bem localizado, em frente ao Hard Rock, em que já estive hospedado. Há um voucher de 10 doláres por noite, para usar na cafeteria do hotel, na qual pode-se tomar um café e comer algo por esse valor diariamente, para uma pessoa. Há possibilidade de check in antecipado, sujeito a disponibilidade. Os atendentes da recepção são bem solidários e Lica é fantástica! O quarto é bem pequeno, mas suficiente para descansar. Cama boa! Há um Chipotle na rua. "

A block from the Natural History Museum, a walk across the park from the Met, kitty corner from amazing bagels and surrounded by great restaurants and ice cream. Couldn't ask for more.
