"What a find! Very quiet, secluded and private villas with well equiped kitchens and comfortable bed. Beautiful, large screened porch area. Very clean. On site managers keep the beautiful, extensive grounds meticulously maintained as well as the pool and BBQ area. Enjoyed hiking to both Big Rock Falls and a cool cave. "

"Exactly what we were looking for. Private, quiet, clean and unique. Close to all the activities we wanted but remote enough to experience the jungle. "The cabin was pleasant, had basic necessities. I deducted two stars because there was absolutely NO COMMUNICATION from the host. The site said there would be no one present at check in and directions would be sent prior to arrival. I heard nothing, even after reaching out multiple times. I was concerned about arriving in early evening and not knowing how to get in. Turns out there was a lock with a key in it in the front door. Also, not this host’s fault, but it was IMPOSSIBLE to get through...

"We had a fabulous stay at Casa Sophia at Alma del Rio. The house is even more beautiful than the photos show. The thoughtful design, attention to detail, and execution are all very impressive. I look forward to seeing the additional lodgings completed. We especially enjoyed the view over the forest and the rainwater shower. Birding from the upper floor was fantastic. We called it our treehouse. Hadas and staff made us feel welcome and responded quickly to questions. "
